Has anyone else noticed that the quality / style of filming Corrie this week has changed. It's almost like they have tried to make it movie-like. All to do to with Sinead's last days I suppose.

Only seen it this morning.
Absolutely brilliant and heart-breaking performances by all,where the actress goes from here remains to be seen,but could go a long way.
This programme is back to it's best at the moment.

Both young actors were great. And the writing with all the emotions if all around Sinead was excellent.

I saw one of the episodes on Friday and oh dear,just not a patch on how it used to be. It will probably be a while before I see another one going on what I saw.After what I read in the press it sounds like more violence and guns at Christmas,and there is reports of another unwanted pregnancy,have they not heard of contraception in Weatherfield.It seems that some male just throws their trousers on the bed and their lady companion gets pregnant.
I think it may be time for Corrie to be put to sleep.

The trouble with making Rita isolated and alone at Christmas (for an 'issue' story) is that she never is. She works usually, she is on holiday not retired, she is always in the Rovers, has Jenny to chat to and usually Gemma. It feels they have shoe-horned her into a story they want to tell because there is no other old person regularly in the show. It undermines the message for me.

I'm still watching the 'old Corries' that are being shown on Gold and what I have been watching this week has shown Norris's first introduction to Corrie - as an acquaintance of Derek, much to Mavis' distress as he offered him a room in their new home! Wow ... 25 odd years ago!
