And now he has served up one of her chickens for dinner.
That man is so nasty, but believable, but l do hope she turns soon.
In other news,a garage changes hands within minutes, Tracey falls for Peter's trick,(that was well done),please dont let the other mothers turn on Gemma, and Mary talks to a robin.
Light and shade,take note Emmerdale.

Yes, Geoff really is a nasty piece of work. I was hoping that he was just saying that it was her chicken and that actually he had gone out and bought one for their dinner, but it seems he really did go through with his brutal plan. Very cruel. I hope Alya susses him out and is able to expose him PDQ.

My brother thought the same. He thought Geoff was going to make Yasmin think it was her chicken until she's upset and then reveal her chicken is fine and 'what's all the fuss about'. I know it's an issue storyline, but Yasmin seemed quite a strong woman and if she'd be made to feel like this she'd leave. They've changed the character to fit the storyline/issue again.

I suppose that what the SWs are trying to convey is that even strong women will eventually give in to bullying husbands.

I think it's supposed to convey that anyone can become a victim...but I'd assume some people are more susceptible than others. If you've been with someone for years and they start to change you'd probably stay together as your lives are intertwined. Or if you're quite meek or are easily manipulated those characteristics could be played on to an abusers advantage. But Yasmin doesn't seem like that and hasn't been with Geoff that long. Personally I'd feel like, was I happy before Geoff or after. If it's before then leave. Cathy and Alya both think some things wrong.

I do hope the actor playing him is not getting any hate mail, but he is playing the nasty villain so well with mood swings and so much malice.
I hope we get to see the come-uppance sooner than later.

How more evil can he get,and what will happen when Tim finds out.
Not over yet, does really make you angry though, just shows what good convincing performances are given.

Thank God for that. This has been awful. The scene at the end with a big light bulb shining under Geoff was laughable. It was like a pantomime. All the writers, producers and directors need to do is watch the older years. The Alan Bradley stuff was a lot more hard hitting because it was more natural. Rita was a better character to get manipulated by Bradley because while she was feisty she was also very caring and that was used against her and then there was Jenny, a teenager at the time caught up in it, which meant Rita was more torn. This isn't the case with Yasmeen. They've changed the character from a tough strong woman to this meek weak woman. I know they want to show 'it can happen to anyone', but I do think some people would put up with it and some wouldn't and with Yasmeens background in the community programmes and her husband's affair she'd had given Geoff his marching orders ages ago, the character has been changed to fit the story. It might have worked better if it'd been Mary as her character might have been manipulated more. You can see the writers etc begging for that British Soap Award, but it works better when less is more, that scene with Geoff was terrible.

I'm afraid I agree. I've watched it 'slowly' build and know it happens in real life, but have not felt convinced by how it was portrayed here. Yasmeen suddenly seemed to change, only a little at first yes, but too much like a switch being thrown. The Alan Bradley story developed brilliantly and having recently watched it again on ITV 3 it involves much more effectively.
Excellent acting though.

I watched The Alan Bradley story I ITV3 aswell and it played out a lot better. Mark Eden was so good in the role, but also the director has to direct them if they get too pantomime they can tell them to rein it in, but I have a feeling that they tell them to go more towards the panto nowadays. Wasn't this one of June Browns arguments with EEnders. She'd be given directions and scripts that 'weren't Dot'. She's played the character for more than 30yrs so knows what that character would and wouldn't do and would and wouldnt say.

I think 7.30 was too early for this episode.
According to the head of ITV they will run out of episodes some time this month of Emmerdale with Corrie a month later. I hope if they do run out of episodes, when they return they will have had a serious think about the rubbish they have been churning out of late.
Also a good think about character driven rather than dramatic, vicious plotlines that we all detest.
