So,after 30 years,ITV are doing a one-off special New Years Eve at 5 pm.
I know this is still big in the USA and WWE is popular ,will be interesting how UK wrestlers compare.
Just hope it is not Romford town hall standard.
Could be fun.

It's never gonna have the money of WWE so they may as well go down the cheap and cheerful route. I went to see Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks when I was a kid so I'm looking forward to reliving that nostalgia.

I'd prefer the cheap and cheerful too. Brings back memories of Saturday lunchtimes with the family.

My mother's aunt was a big fan, after a "female" operation in the 60's, she took to her bed, and only got out of it to watch Corrie and wrestling on Saturdays!!!

It's quite a good standard, you have to be fit to do this.
Not WWE but is ok.

I watched it for about 10 mins and they spent most of it rolling around on the floor pretending to be in pain! Big wusses!

They learn to jump from great heights without hurting themselves but then still need to jump. However, it was more Americanised than the original, I did like the chessyness of the original, I suppose they can't get away with that now. The interviewer who was asking a wrestler questions back stage and the wrestler told her to go away or get her facts right, something like that, before saying in a Midlands accent "I'm going to speak to the manager" did have me laughing. It sounded more like he'd been given the wrong good at a Harvester and wanted "to speak to the manager"! Lol

God, I'd hoped this had been firmly confined to vaults of history.
I shall resort to my dvds on future Saturday afternoons.
