Series three starts on Friday 6 January at 9.00.
I was unsure if this had already been on so decided to Google to check. So in doing that I managed to spot the, spoiler for the end of series three. Idiot! Anyway, the last one shown on 5USA was series two.

I think I saw one of the first series. The dialogue was hilarious. But not enough to keep me watching.

It is definitely not one to watch for its dramatic quality. But it is very funny, especially when the lead actress is trying to be complex or deep which usually involves a lot of twitching.

This is in the RT/newspaper listings but is not showing on the EPG so maybe it is not on.
I have just spotted that a new series of Law and Order Special Victims Unit is due to start on Wednesday at 21.00 though.

Rookie Blue was one of the few Canadian series ever carried by one of the Big Four US terrestrial broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX).
ABC ran all six seasons of the series as a summer replacement series 2010-2015, rather than show repeats of their own programming which is the norm with most networks.
The first time I ever watched it I just noticed something didn't seem "right" with the production values. So when I googled it I discovered it was a Canadian series.
I only watched a couple of episodes so I don't recall if they specifically said it was set in Toronto or if it was one of those shows were the setting is left "vague" - like they did with Hill Street Blues - which was filmed in Chicago but they never actually ever said that the city it was set in was Chicago, they were simply the "Metro Police."

I always thought Hill Street Blues was in New York!

Series 5 is still on 5USA so they must be going straight into the next one. McNally seems to be less twitchy this series but, obviously, as self-obsessed as ever.
