The guy who was the murderer- wasn’t he in a previous episode of MM? Or was it Morse or Lewis? I think he was also the murderer in that one, or at least a baddie These days, because I watch so many of the old ones as 'comfort TV', I quite often think 'didn't he get murdered in the one with the (inventive method of death)?

Well. This sucks.
Close to a year after plans for the launch were first revealed, streaming service BritBox has now fully launched in the UK. One of the service’s few exclusive titles at launch include the final two episodes from Midsomer Murders season 20, which wont air on ITV for several months. It’s USP is having the “the biggest collection of British box-sets available in one place”. The subscription cost has been set at £5.99

I messaged the TV blog who posted that info, and asked if they thought all the faffing around was a prelude to cancellation. This is their reply:
No. S21 already commissioned and filmed. My hunch is it becomes a BritBox exclusive going forward, with repeat runs on the main ITV channel.

Didn't they try and do something similar with another channel once? Was it ITV Premier or something, or am I imagining stuff again? If this is just a way to con money out of me I shall stick to the Freeview offerings and what I get in my Amazon Prime package. Perhaps eventually they will turn up on ITV3!
