Thanks Yankee. I've recently gone over to Microsoft Edge, still using Internet Explorer at the moment. Bit old fashioned I'm afraid. Stick to what you know.

I noticed that a while back aswell. It's lovely. I don't need to be told what's on next. Modern Tv's mean that at the press of a button it'll tell you what's on next. Plus with TP at the start of a film they have a little menu saying what's on now and next anyway. I suppose it helps that the old credits tend to be short and sweet anyway, but even so they seem to listen to their audience and know that people don't like it so they don't do it. I get the feeling that the owner, as a film and TV fan himself, wouldn't or doesnt like the interruptions so doesn't subject the audience to them. Hopefully it stays that way.

'Savage Islands' and 'Jenny Seagrove' rings a bell, so quite possibly I might've watched it in the dim and distant past, lol. I'm going to record it, so thanks for mentioning it, pandaeyes. ('Nate and Hayes' meant absolutely nothing to me, so I wouldn't have caught this otherwise.)

A pleasure Netz. Only turned on while channel hopping. Came in at the end of a film called '6.05 Special'. I remember there was a TV series way back in the 50s of the same name. At the end of the film they showed who was singing in it. Petula Clark Lonnie Donovan and Dickie Valentine to name but three.

I lost all my channels on Sunday. I got them back yesterday after the fourth or fifth rescan. Did you find out why, hoody? Same has happened to me today, I've got them back after umpteen rescans and a fair amount of twiddling with cables and aerial antennae, don't think the latter made any difference though

I remembered it was Lonnie Donnigan was the singer, not Donovan. Old age brain kicking in.

Same has happened to me today, I've got them back after umpteen rescans and a fair amount of twiddling with cables and aerial antennae, don't think the latter made any difference though Hi Sleepy. I believe it was something to do with bits of the digital signal being sold off to enable 5G to use some of it. I was told I might have to retune a few times before I got the channels back. If I didn't get them back, they advised me to get a new aerial. Was I glad when they reappeared! Everything's been fine since. I still had the Go Digital phone number from 2009, when the analogue signals were sold off, so I rang them.

Thanks! That's very helpful, I have a vague idea of having heard something about the signal Everything working ok today, but it's been more difficult for a while to get the remote to turn the box on, sadly I think that must be the age of the box, and I jumped to the conclusion that the no signal situation must be connected I liked it better when you pressed buttons on the actual tv!

Saw the trailer at lunchtime, looked okay will be watching. Wasn't too bad. Never saw Tommy Lee Jones as an 'action man' before. plenty of running around. I've only seen him in the Men in Black series. The continuity with Miss Seagrove's costumes was slightly awry. One minute she's in a lovely white dress, the next in shirt and breeches. Nit picking, I know. I enjoyed the film.
