Full series of ER and St Elsewhere available on All 4. Looks like it's all of them.

St. Elsewhere particularly noteworthy for having a very young Denzel Washington in his first starring role as well as well as a young and upcoming Mark Harmon.
I suppose St. Elsewhere is probably a bit dated but worth a watch just to see how much the medical field has progressed the last few decades.

I never really got into SE but I love ER.

St Elsewhere was great, with a young Bruce Greenwood aswell and David Morse...ruined with the snow globe ending though. What was the point? C4, many years ago, used to show St Elsewhere and Hill Street Blues in the early hours. When I was on a late shift and would get home about 2:30-3am, and would enjoy watching them. It was the first time I saw them. It's also how I got to see Oz when that was buried in the early hours on C4.

I used to love St Elsewhere but it does seem a long time ago. I vaguely remembered the snow globe scene and reminded myself via YouTube. Theme music is of its time but very evocative!

I was a big fan of both in the day. St Elsewhere was a bit more quirky if I remember right.

Just watching the one where Greene has to do a C-section in the ER. I remember being hardly able to breathe the first time I watched this.

But you know you'll be OK with Mark Greene!

Yeah.... unfortunately not in this case.

Yeah that one didn't end well. The fault of the on-call obstetrician not answering the numerous pages as I recall.

It was very sad. Even though you knew it was fictional still so emotional.

I used to love both these shows. I shall have to seek them out.

The opening theme of St. Elsewhere.
You can see some of the influence it would have on ER which made its debut some years later.
The David Morse character very similar to Mark Green. The Mark Harmon character very similar to George Clooney. Denzel Washington similar to Peter Benton. The William Daniels character, the proud, cocky veteran surgeon was similar to Kerry Weaver and Robert Romano.
When you see the opening credits for St. Elsewhere you can also see the similarity in style to "Hill Street Blues" as both series were from Mary Tyler Moore productions.

Ah, a trip down memory lane! Do you know where the hospital was supposedly located, yankee? I see they also have the El which was such a feature of ER.
