The language filters are too strong. There is at least one country, part of the Indian Sub-continent, and one town in Lincolnshire that are having problems. There are probably others. I can understand the filters, but it does create problems.

You can't. the filter removes what it perceives are offending strings of , resulting in stan and Shorpe
See the name 5 thread, where this was discovered.

Have removed filters,so that works now. It does however cause a secondary problem, hopefully that will not arise. If anymore, let us know

But just because the filters are removed doesn't mean I won't use my Mod Boots on anyone who uses the offensive words contained in those.

Based on similar problems with my local paper's website, I wonder if I can say 'mastiffs'?

It was quite bizarre, because casual use of a slang term for the Welsh was affected too, but just the last three letters. A senior figure in the local NHS, Frank Harsent, as well.
Truly weirdly, the paper was connected to the Mail, and 'Lord Rothermere' was just a string of asterisks...

Just to say, how nice to be able to discuss board tech stuff without being made to feel like a disruptive whatever
