Which actor almost guarantees that you will watch a film, even if you are not interested in the subject of the film?
For me it is Tom Hanks, who I think is believable in any role.
Very close behind are Dustin Hoffman and Kevin Spacey.
Interesting that I have chosen three men.
I very much like Judi Dench, Kathy Bates and Meryl Streep but they don't have quite the same 'pull' for me.

George Clooney!!!!!!! Too shallow? I even had the DVD of Gravity, which I thought was abysmal, to watch him. Heavy use of the FF button when he wasn't around though.

I loved Gravity! Yes the plot was simple and the dialogue crap but the views! They were amazing!
And yeah, Clooney helped.

Mixed bunch here - Scarlett Johansson {I forgive her for lucy} - Charlize Theron - Robert Downey JR {not for the Ironman films} The Judge, one of his best - lately Alicia Vikander Tom Hanks is a no brainer...apart from A Hologram for the King shame this looks good....

At the moment, Oscar Isaac. Insanely beautiful, but also very obviously an actor. He clearly really cares about his craft and roles, and he takes on challenging and diverse roles. And he's charismatic as hell.

Will always have a look at films that have William Hurt and Edward Norton in them.

Oh, can't bear Edward Norton. Don't know why, just something about him curls my lip.

Will watch anything with Rutger Hauer after seeing him in Ladyhawke (even the Guinness adverts) and Terence Stamp after seeing him in Modesty Blaise .

Will watch anything with Rutger Hauer after seeing him in Ladyhawke (even the Guinness adverts) and Terence Stamp after seeing him in Modesty Blaise . I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears...in...rain. Time to die.

He put those words in himself. I have read his autobiography 'All Those Moments' ... he is quite a writer too.
