Yes, indeed. I hope the cause can be found and she makes a full recovery.
Saw an excellent Mixed Doubles yesterday. Heather Watson and Henri Kontinen, playing together for the first time ever, beat the reigning champs, Hingis and Paes.
FAB!

It annoys me that people get on her case about it. All that does is add to any pressure she feels because of the uncertainty.

Well this is a match and a half! Two sets all. I missed the Federer quarter which people said was a cracker, and now this one is going all the way.

Poor Marion. Hope they they can help her. Viruses can be so nasty.
I was lucky to go to Wimbledon yesterday. Spent the day on Court 3 watching a ladies' invitational doubles (Jana Novotna/Helena Sukova v Iva Majoli/Aranxa Sanchez-Vicario) which was very entertaining. They did not mess around as much as the men. Then three fantastic mixed doubles matches. All three setters. In one of the matches, one of the men was powering down serves of 130 mph+ at times - even against the opposing woman and she got some of them back!
We could see the Centre Court scoreboard so realised how swift the Serena match was. Both semis were over very quickly. I felt sorry for those people who paid mega bucks for their tickets. The only consolation was a five set mens' doubles match.

There are people "taking to twitter" to complain about John McEnroe commentating while Milos Raonic is playing, citing him as being "humanly biased" in one example. What is wrong with these people? It is not an election, or trial, it's a sporting competition, for crying out loud. His words and thoughts are not going to affect the outcome or influence anyone in a position to be influenced. gaah Should this be in the "Pet Hates" thread?

I didn't think he was biased at all, he called Fed the greatest player of all time FGS. If anything I was hoping for a bit more info on Raonic from him. Give some people a Twitter account and they think they are experts on everything and we should be grateful to hear their opinions. I for one am not!!!!! Getting a bit angry now! 😡

I agree. I thought he was very impartial. Difficult when you coach one of the players.

Just watching two of the pairs we saw yesterday battling it out in the mixed doubles semi finals. It's gone to a third set.
The other couple we saw play yesterday are in the semis tomorrow against Heather Watson and partner.

Brilliant win for our mens wheelchair doubles pair, an epic game, well done.
