I would like Kerber to win but I mostly hope that she isn't hindered by nerves. I know she won the Australian but facing Serena at Wimbledon is a step even higher.

I also hope Angelique Kerber wins....I like her style and attitude. Have never been a Serena fan, love Venus though. Just one question to the BBC: "Why John Inverdale"

Sick and tired of seeing Serena pulling those faces and fist pumping like someone possessed, most unlady like.

Kerber is doing her very best. But I fear it isn't enough. Pity.

Minority view alert! I quite like John Inverdale. Mind you he doesn't have a lot to beat compared to some of the chaps they use who are quite "grey" IMO. I did read today that Andy Roddick is over here but has not been on the BBC at all despite being very popular last year. Unable to agree terms apparently.
Now is it just me who cannot abide the cringe-making court side interview? The trackside interview with a sweating athlete who can barely catch their breath is the main reason I stopped watching athletics.

Completely agree about the interviews. Yes it is a pity Andy Roddick wasn't commentating. Great guy.

Heather Watson's match on the red button right now. First set is very tight.
