I wish this was televised on free channels.  I have never seen a single US open match. I don't even know what the courts look like. We get brilliant access to the French, and often get the finals of the Australian, so why no US coverage? gaah |

No Eurosport here! Mind, I don't even have the standard Freeview channels most of the time. Can't get ITV or Channel 4 at the moment. Just a load of pixellating. |

Eurosport only gets live action at the US Open until the quarterfinals when bully boy Sky has sole rights to live matches. Eurosport shows the matches the next day.
I read somewhere that to cut costs the BBC is no longer going to show the Australian Open finals. I can think of other cack it could cut to save money rather than hitting tennis fans.

We didn't get the Australian finals this yr, if I remember correctly, so presumably that has already kicked in! Shame!

It would appear that Sky Sports has dropped the US Open from this year.
They are blaming this on extra payment towards the Premiership.!

It was a great win for Kyle.
Watching Nadal at the moment. His constant fiddling and scratching makes me itch.
Apparently the US Open has traditionally hired ball persons rather than youngsters. Some are in their 50s the youngest are 14. They have to be able to throw the balls from one end of the court to the other, rather than rolling them. I think it looks a bit odd.

If bully boy Sky has dropped the US Open, hopefully Eurosport will show the whole tournament live.

The ball persons chucking balls up and down do look odd and a bit too casual. The US Open always feels to me more like a college tournament. Glad Sky has dropped this however I refuse to subscribe to any of their services. Rant over. |

All these ticks and quirks should have been knocked on the head by Uncle Tony yrs ago, if you ask me. Particularly the fiddling with the undergarments. |
