Is Raonic in the draw? Not sure about his injury status as the mo.
Yes, a disappointment for Murray as, with Djokovic out, it was his best chance yet of getting over that last hurdle. Ahh well. You can't win 'em all!

Answering my own qu, yes, Raonic is now the highest seed left, and beat Gilles Simon in 4 sets on Saturday.

Sad about Murray and Evans. Leaves the drawer more open now doesn't it. I would love to see Federer win.

Just been announced Andy is not playing Davis Cup in March. I guess he wants to concentrate on holding on to that No.1 slot, which seems fair enough. He has to play in two of the next 4 yrs if he wants to be eligible for the 2020 Olympics, I believe. Presumably he would like a shot at adding a 3rd gold to his collection.

Can't say I blame him. He's done his bit.
Federer had no trouble getting past Murray's conquerer today. He's looking in fine fettle at the moment.
Johanna Konta's match against Serena Williams is at the ungodly hour of 2am tomorrow. Will look at the result when I get up.

Didn't go well for Konta! Shame, but she has had a fab start to the yr and hopefully she will build on that.

Could be! You wouldn't have picked those two at the beginning of the fortnight, would you?

No you wouldn't. It's been an interesting tournament.
The ages of the semi finalists are interesting. 36 (Venus Williams), 35 (Roger Federer), 34 (Serena Williams and Mirjana Lučić-Baroni ), 31 (Stan Wawrinka), 30 (Rafa Nadal) and 25 (Gregor Dimitrov and Coco Wanderwegh)

Gone are the days when teens picked up the major trophies. A Williams on Williams final, I hear. Can't say that fills me with excitement.

Federer v Wawrinka was a great match. Don't think I'll bother with the all-Williams final. Will record Nadal v Dimitrov as I'm out tomorrow morning.

Nadal through, after a 5-set thriller lasting well into the small hrs. He will be needing an ice bath sharpish!
