Was it ever. I was on the edge of my seat. Well done Roger for winning your 18th. I reckon Rafa will be back ready to win the French. Yes, indeed. Excellent match. Really enjoyed the highlights.

Wasn't being selfish really, I'd seen the whole match already BUT was making the point my mum and others without cable would liked to have seen it in all its spectacular energetic exciting glory too.

And I don't blame them. But why remove someone else's sport to do it?
It was a very good bowls final, by the way.

Watched the highlights earlier but heard the match on Radio 5Live. The commentators were Pat Cash and someone whose name I didn't catch – my goodness, they were excitable! Congratulations to both players, and as Roger said it's a pity it couldn't be a draw. What a fantastic match.

Well done Brit Gordon Reid who has achieved a career grand slam in men's wheelchair doubles by winning the Australian open final.

There may be a region-free dvd release. Other Aussie finals, and even a semi-final, have been released in the past. I'll keep an eye out on eBay and Amazon and let you know if it comes up for sale. Davis Cup this w'end. I think it should be on the Red Button from 8 pm, and then BBC 2 takes up the baton racquet from 11.05 pm on Friday (tomorrow). I haven't checked the rest of the w'end listings yet for Sat and Sun coverage.

As far as I know, Andy is not playing. Raonic may not be either, but I'm not sure if that is confirmed.

Got a feeling Raonic has pulled out. Don't think Stan and Roger are playing for Switzerland either.

I guess that they'll all had a long year with the Olympics added in so maybe they just want a break.

Dan Evans up first, playing a 17 yr old making his Davis Cup debut. He did, however, win Junior Wimbledon last yr, so knows his way around a court and, with no pressure on him, may be very relaxed. Then it is Kyle Edmund against Pospisil. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/tennis/38848927

One match all at the moment. Jamie Murray and Dan? Inglot have a toughie against Nestor and Pospisil. Could go to the wire. The winners face France who are already through along with Australia. Looks like Krygios behaved himself to help the Aussies get the win.
Djockers had a bit of luck when Medvedev pulled out of their match because of cramp. Think the match was quite close up til then.

Really enjoyed watching Shapovalov play. Always great to see someone new and get to know their game. I think he is a talent in the making, with some excellent shots and a cheery disposition. He needs to reign in a little and learn when to go for it and when to be patient, but my guess is we will see a lot more of him in the future. Yes, Crafty, today's doubles should be a good fight. Coverage is on BBC2 from 6 pm, for anyone interested.

Murray and Inglot won the doubles to give GB a 2-1 lead going into tomorrow's reverse singles.
USA are also through to the quarter finals.
