World number 19 Grigor Dimitrov, who played in both of Novak Djokovic's recent Adria Tour events, has tested positive for coronavirus. The Bulgarian, 29, withdrew from the second tournament in Zadar, Croatia on Saturday with sickness after his opening loss to Borna Coric.

I was wondering which one of them would end up positive...they were not exactly social distancing at all.

His opponent Borna Coric has also tested positive, as have at least two others involved in the competition (a coach and a fitness trainer).
“I know there have been some criticisms as well especially coming from the West: ‘why do we have a crowd? Why not having social distancing?” Novak Djokovic said in response to criticism over the event. “But it’s hard to explain to people that the situation is really, really different maybe in America or the UK than it is in Serbia or surrounding countries, and obviously from the day one of the organisation of the Adria Tour, [we have been] following the rules and the measures that have been regulated by the government institution and the public health institution.”

Novak Djokovic has tested positive for Covid-19 amid Adria Tour fallout. Djokovic revealed that he and his wife, Jelena, had both tested positive for Covid-19 after taking a test immediately after returning to Belgrade (in Serbia) from Zadar (in Croatia) where the final of the tournament was cancelled following Dimitrov’s positive test.
This annoys me. Why did they have to wait to get tested? Sorry, he should have stayed put.

So four players have got it, there was no social distancing and they were all out clubbing at night. Not a huge surprise then. But I read somewhere that ND is an anti-vaxxer so he presumably thought this was no risk whatsoever.

What he has said is "Personally I am opposed to vaccination and I wouldn't want to be forced by someone to take a vaccine in order to be able to travel." He has said that, rather, he needs to be in the best possible shape physically, to prevent catching Covid-19.

And, it seems that Dimitrov travelled to Monaco before getting tested. His manager said that nobody had even thought about coronavirus when they made the decision to travel, resulting in Monaco's first case in three weeks.

Words fail me......
Well, they don't because I can't resist saying "How old are they???" Six? Ten, maybe? Because anyone older would know that all of their actions were ridiculously stupid.

Watched the programme with Sue Barker from Wimbledon. It looked so sad the view over the ground, virtually empty. Enjoyed watching the old match between Henman and Kafelnikov
