If it weren't for Michael Johnson I would be watching Eurosport instead!

I like him too. When he first started he would hear the presenters trying to big up a Uk effort and snarl along the lines of "that was RUBBISH"! Or when they say I am taking away the positives and MJ would hint there was no positive! We used to crack up.

Why is it that when an athlete has just finished and they are gasping for breath, they have a microphone shoved under their noses for an immediate interview. (BBC)

The trackside interview was the main reason I stopped watching athletics for a long time, saving The Olympics. I can't abide the gasping for breath.

I get more annoyed when they aren't gasping for breath. Shows they haven't tried hard enough!

Continuity tells us we will all remember where we were when we saw the last races of Farah and Bolt. Well, it's not exactly a JFK moment is it?
I have noticed that we have seen the winners' National Anthems played with no commentary. A big difference from Helen Skellern and crew at the swimming who talked through nearly every one, except ours of course!

Getting a bit brassed off with the BBC idolisation of Mo Farrah I thought I hope he loses but then thought it's not his fault. Come on Mo and turn it down a notch BBC!

Oh no!!! Mo!!! I hate these jogging about at the start races.
By the way, how come our girl got disqualified the other day for hitting a girls arm when they knock seven bells out of each other in the Men's 10k and 5k?

I believe she got reinstated - did seem harsh at the time. BBC now going OTT with Usain Bolt...

Oh my flippety muck! We just won the 4 x 100m! WTF!
But poor Usain. Terrible thing to pull a hamstring on your last ever race.
