Well done Mo on the silver. So sad for Bolt in his final appearance.
One thing has been confusing me. I thought we were just GBR, now it seems we are GBR and N.I...I thought we were one and the same??

Aren't we either GB & NI or the UK? GB is just the mainland so you have to add on NI. Unless I've got it the wrong way round which is always, possible!

You are right. Great Britain is just the mainland of England, Scotland and Wales. In total we are The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, which is often abbreviated to just UK (United Kingdom). So if UK isn't used then we are GB and NI, even though it's often just abbreviated to GB, which, strictly speaking, is wrong unless Northern Ireland is represented separately.

In my paper it says the Jamaicans reckon they woz robbed. Apparently they were held in the call room for some 45 minutes so had stopped warming up too early and Bolt got too cold.
I always thought it was a cool room, or is that just swimming, or did I just mishear?

It is call room. It's where they wait after warming up to get called out on to the track. 45 mins is a long time. Was it only them in there?

No, that is the flaw in their argument as I understand it! LOL. But they reckon it was freezing in there and Bolt got really cold.

Well they could have put on some warmers again or something? Sorry, they are professionals and must have experienced the waiting game before. Well done UK relay teams. So good to see the wonderful Adam Gemili back on the track. What a lovely young man.

It's difficult in the call room cos you don't know how long you are going to be in there. And 45 mins is a long time. And Bolt isn't prone to injury so... they have a case of sorts but....

The women''s steeplechase final was a farce - how do you take a wrong turn on a running track?

That would be the same Steve Ovett who lives in Australia?
It was Steve Cram and Paula Radcliffe from the London Stadium.
