Oh I do love this show and it gets dafter and dafter (and that's just the judges!) I think maybe I like different music to other people but I did't like that girl singer a lot..don't really like shouty singers...don't go a bundle on sob stories much either but could see where the choir was coming from. I loved the two mind reading friends, still trying to work out how they did it.

The joke Amanda objected to was not screened, but needless to say it made the papers. The lads father apparently writes for sitcoms - Not Going Out being one of them, so it is hardly the childs act. Just a boy saying what his professional writer father tells him. Not much talent, imo.
If I understand previous stories, Kate McCann will appear with the Missing People Choir if/when they progress. If this is true I think it is a grave mistake. Millions have been spent searching for her child - but her loss could have been prevented had she and her husband and their friends used basic parenting skills and not left 3 small children, under the age of 5, alone in an unlocked holiday apartment.
I don't think she or her husband have any place in this choir.

Woh. I don't blame her for objecting. That's a horrible thing to say.

The joke was screened, who says it wasn't?
She must have some control over the edit,so must have been happy for it to go ahead .
Wouldn't read too much into this.

It was screened. I just watched it. What is so funny about an eight year old being a bitch?

Where you are from? Barking! The only thing different about this act is they have animal heads on. The dancing was nothing special.

Sorry - the Saturday morning papers said the joke had/would be cut. Obviously 'fake news'......

Why would you dance whilst plugged in to a socket? And what the hell is this, painting while dancing?

The Doga was daft, the mindreaders a good trick, but my favourite so far is the fella with the letters. That was original.

As for Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer - well, the young lass has certainly got a powerful set of vocal cords, but that style of singing leaves me absolutely cold. It's more like wailing and screeching - if that's what is 'in fashion' now, they can keep it! I agree, she's got a good voice but has picked up some really bad/annoying habits, all that face pulling and the pointing and the vocal acrobatics, holding a note for ages just cause you can. Reminds me of this.

Absolutely Prof. I detest this modern (predominantly female) way of singing. Why use 15 noes when a jump from one to the other will do. I blame Whitney Houston myself. I also feel that singers as acts on a talent competition should not be featured as there are plenty of other singing comps around.

Mariah Carey is Queen of the vocal gymnastics, imo. Quite why these talented singers cannot sing the song as it was written is beyond me. Embellish at the end if you must, but trust the composer - he/she knew what they were doing.

I read a message somewhere else in regard to Whitney Houston and they said they preferred Dolly Partons version on I Will Always Love You because there was more emotions and it was subtle where as the Houston version was to over the top and holding a note just cause she could. I think I have to agree.
The Dreamgirls song is big and does have long notes but that was so over the top. Imagine watching a whole concert of that!😨
