Or make her stronger, Tosh can't be the victim all the time. Either this is genuine and people do chat each other up quite quickly or she susses him out and leads him along. Go Tosh be fearless!
I will be very cross if they make her a victim again.

I don't think it will be a betrayal of trust cos I don't think she trusts him. But it certainly won't help if he does turn out to be dodgy.

It might help if she bests him though, she might feel a little vindicated.

I’m not enjoying this series as much as I usually do, I always feel that things suffer when they go out of the UK, I didn’t like the Midsummer Murders when they went abroad and others too. It’s a bit confusing with the two investigations going on all over the place, I suppose it’ll all come clear in the end but at the moment I don’t like it.

Oh, I'm still enjoying it as much as ever. In fact it's the programme I look forward to most during my viewing week at the moment.

I’d still rather watch Shetland than a lot of other things but I just find this series a bit hard to follow, maybe it’s me 😀

There are such close economic ties with Norway in the Shetlands (not to mention historical ones) so I think it is a good link up. Wasn't it the Shetlands that suggested it would call a referendum to go back to Norway if the Scottish referendum came out for independence...something like that anyway.

I rather liked the trip to Bergen. I agree though that Midsomer didn't really travel well to Denmark.

Please don’t think I’m moaning, I love Shetland it’s probably just me, I’m finding a little bit confusing that’s all 🤪

The last story was a bit confusing in the middle episodes as well, then all was resolved in a flash in the final episode. It's curious really, as that series and this were written for television rather than being adapted from novels, so you might expect them to be clearer. I guess it's just that with 6 episodes there have to be a lot of red herrings. I think there are many Shetlanders who feel more Norse than Scottish and historically it has only been part of Scotland since 1471 when it was given to Scotland as part of the dowry of James III's Danish bride Margaret: see www.shetland.org/about/history.

Well, I suppose it depends on what you consider a long time! In historical terms it isn't very long and it does seem quite remarkable that it was simply handed over, like a parcel.

Well! I didn't see that coming. Well done those who thought Lars was a villain, though I'm inclined to believe him that what he wanted was the USB stick and once he had that he was off. He turns out to be a nasty racist thug, though how he would hide that in a small place like Bergen is a bit of a mystery and rather embarrassing for the special branch people we saw last week that they hadn't found him out. But I suspect his role in the Shetland murders will turn out to be non-existent.
I'm a bit disappointed in Jimmy that the worst thing he could think of to say about Anders Brejvik is that he lived with his mum. So?
I don't believe for a minute that Duncan dunnit so I wonder who it was? Not Thomas, I'm sure. Poor, pathetic Thomas. I could believe he would stand by the cliffs as he said.

Excellent, dramatic episode tonight. I hope next week's denouement justifies all that has gone before! (And I'm glad her Vera's come in one-offs.)
