The Batman Lego movie does look funny from the clips and trailers I've seen. It looks like there's something for all the family, fun animation for the kids and enough references for the adults.

Can anyone tell me why there is yet another Alien movie when the last 3 have been total crap?

Going back a few posts I too enjoyed Populaire.
I watched Everest this week, the most recent movie about the 1996 disaster. It was very good but made me feel so cold I had to switch the heating on!

Roman Duris is great in that film. The Big Picture was the first film I saw him in and that's very good too. And Paris, although a bit teary.
The Big Kahunas on BBC2 at 00:35. Kevin Space, Danny Devito and Peter Facinelli...and that's about it as salesmen trying to make a big catch in Wichita. Very scripty film. Kevin Spaceys character "Well I'll be a sonofabit*h. I don't smoke, you don't drink and Bob here wouldn't think about lusting after another woman. Between the three of us we're practically Jesus."

Hmm... I suppose. But we will wait and see. My money is on it being crap.

Yeah mine too. Such a shame as the originals were so fantastic and iconic.
BTW when you say the last 3 were crap, I am assuing you mean Prometheus and Alien4 (hard to argue with that), but were you including Alien3 or Aliens vs Predators?

Alien 3 is on the border of being crap. The standard did drop from A2 but it's nowhere near as bad as A4 and Prometheus is unspeakably rubbish. I think I watched about 10 mins of A vs P and decided life was too short to waste.

...Sleuth from the stage play.....not the remake.....Larry Olivier and Michael Caine..... Was just going to ask if that was the one with Christopher Reeves, but that was Deathtrap with Michael Caine. Is Sleuth showing on TV or is it DVD?

Thanks. I might search it out. I have way to many DVDs and only buy second hand now unless is something hard to get or something I can't wait for cex to get in. I was spending a fortune. I once paid £75 for the first season of Six Feet Under because I couldn't wait the 4-5mths for it to come out here! And remember when they brought seasons out in halves? So I paid £30 for Season 1 Eps1-11, and £30 for Season 1 Eps12-22 of The West Wing. That's £60 for one season! They've near enough stopped doing that now. Thinking of Lawrence Olivier, my aunt likes Dustin Hoffman who was in Marathon Man with Larry The Actor, should I get her that film? It's a Hoffman film but I don't know if she's like the story. Maybe if I can find it for a few quid, nothing ventured and all that...

Yeah, the dentist scene is horrible, it's not too graphic but it's the noise of the drill and Hoffman's panic that I don't like. I might stick with Kramer Vs Kramer! Lol

Mindhorn. It's a film starring Julian Barrett (The Mighty Boosh) as an actor, Richard Thorncroft, who back in the 70s/80s got a job as a detective, based in the Isle of Man, called Mindhorn who had a biopic eye and could see people's truths. It's years later and Thorncroft hasn't had much work and is selling socks and male gurdles on telly infommercials when the police ask him to help in a case when a man, Russell Tovey, has been accussed of murder and he'll only talk to Mindhorn.
It's a British movie which had it's premier on the Isle of Man and has cameos by Steve Coogan and Kenneth Branngh. It's definately got a nod and a wink to Bergerac!
