Use this thread to recommend films you have seen that may interest other readers My recommendations are Interstate 84 - a low budget American film directed by Kevin Spacey The Bothersome Man - A Norwegian film - excellent Fateless - A Hungarian film about the holocaust - Very moving and far better than the rubbish that is The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas Flashbacks Of A Fool - Daniel Craig plays an English Hollywood star who remembers his teenage years growing up in the 70's The Last Picture Show - excellent film made in 1971 but set in Texas in 1952 and filmed in Black & White .. in the same style as Cool Hand Luke and the suchlike All great (IMHO) films

Millions, directed by Danny Boyle. Maybe everyone already knows about this one, but it was new to me and I was completely enchanted.

One that didn't get great reviews last year when it came out, but I liked it - Paper Towns with Cara Delevingne (don't be put off by Cara, she is very good)....had a second viewing of it the other day, on Sky Movies, I like it even more.

"Coldblooded" - Jason Priestly, Peter Riegert, Michael J Fox - A black comedy Priestly is a bookie for the mob but is "promoted" to hitman against his will. He is trained by Riegert. "Nick of Time" - Johnny Depp and Christopher Walken - Depp is a father coerced into killing the Governor of California. Plays out in real time. Good film, despite not performing well on release. "Razorback" - A sort of cross between "Moby Dick" and "A Cry in the Dark" (an Australian film, too). "Lions for Lambs" - Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise - Criticised on release, I like it, and I think it will be a better watch post Chilcott. Possibly Cruise's best performance in a film (OK, 2nd after "Tropic Thunder" ), the end will leave you unsettled. "Babel" - Ambitious and well made, easily Brad Pitt's best film.

Can't believe I forgot this one, but it was on TV the other evening...
"Elysium", staring Matt Damon, Jodie Foster, and William Fitchner. It's a bit on the nose, in its message, and sometimes gory, but it goes along at a nice pace, is not without humour, and it isn't all sweetness and light at the end.

Millions, directed by Danny Boyle. Maybe everyone already knows about this one, but it was new to me and I was completely enchanted. I loved Millions and want to adopt the little boy in it ...he has to stay at that age though...he was adorable. The Station Agent is one of the many films I would recommend....great film. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Station_Agent

Watched 'Everest' last night, based on a true story about 8 climbers who lost their lived when climbing it.Beautifully filmed but quite a hard watch especially if you suffer from verigo. Gets 7.1/10 from IMBd but we thought it was worth more than that.

Did anyone see "Inside Man"? I'm sure it'll be around on various other channels over the next week, or so, but this is a really good heist movie with a twist, and told in a unique way. Clive Owen, Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Christopher plummer.

Kingsman is just fantastic, violent, sweary fun. The denouement is fantastic. I've got one: The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Why isn't this a franchise? This could easily be the new Bond. It's got great actors, amazing and interesting characters, and the style is unique in film. So so enjoyable!
