Well he isn't my idea of arm candy, but I did like the character. But oh no, yet another troubled daughter.... a stroppy teenager to boot! Hope she doesn't feature too much.

I like the new chap. Very Viking looking! Bit too hairy for my taste. He rather put Beck in the shade in this episode. Be interested to see how the relationship develops.

Too hairy for me too. But I did like the way he stood up to the slimey boss as well.
By the way was that the last one or is it just off for a week. I see Keith Richards is taking control of BBC4 next Friday for his Lost Weekend, interspersing films with chat.

LOVING the new guy! Parts of Scotland have huge hairy blokes like this. 99% Viking DNA. We were often invaded.....  TBF, he had to have a **big personality** and to hit the ground running to make a mark on this delightful series. The scene where he has Martin fixing his back was classic.... I don't think any drama has ever had a teenage character who is relatively normal and polite.....I would have left his snippy besom of a daughter in the cells.....but as has been said, hopefully she will not feature too much. We might meet the younger children next week. |

According to the listing I look at, Beck isn't on next Saturday. There's a documentary about London Babylon on instead.

No it's finished for the present I think, mind you from POV on Sunday what we have had over the past couple of months have not been in sequence anyway. The last four I think was series 6, but looking on Wikki there should be another 2 but heaven knows when we'll get to see those.  |

I would hazard a guess we will see the last two from series six some time after we have seen series 7, or randomly in the middle of series 7, given the sequencing we have had in Beck. I am fully expecting to see Gunvald again.  |
