{Spoiler} One of just several bits of stupidity that occured to me linseed. Another was the supposed identifying of the body. She said she needed to see the arms as her husband had a tattoo. How very lucky that the unknown body did have a tattoo! What would she have done if there hadn't been one? I am quite good at suspending disbelief but this was all just too silly for words. I am surprised three such good actresses agreed to appear in it. It would have been much better without the missing husband story line. It should have stuck with the three supporting each other through various difficult relationship crises. That would have been much more believable.

Agreed Vicky also just how many people saw {Spoiler} The husband being taken upstairs in the hotel and the heavy suitcase being dragged down, helped by the random man, who was looking at them very suspiciously even then

I’m so glad it’s finished, I fast forwarded through a lot of the last one because it was so b@##%y silly. I thought the same about the suitcase. Perhaps she was writing this with one hand and LL and R with the other, that might explain the lack of thought put into them both. Stupid, irritating, badly acted rubbish and I for one shan’t be watching another series.

After Love, Lies and Records and now this load of rubbish, that's me done with anything written by Kay Mellor.

It's a shame isn't it. Usually stuff by Kay Mellor is very watchable.

Perhaps she overstretched herself with these two. There were so many sub plots in Girlfriends she’d have had enough to make about six different series.

We were cringing with embarrassment. Total rubbish. How can the cold bloodied murder of anyone be entertainment? Couldn't believe the suitcase bit. Dreadful.

I thought that was very unpleasant lara, were we supposed to laugh at the comment ‘I heard something crack, I hope it wasn’t his leg’ ? Tasteless,or what?

I've enjoyed this as a comedy drama quite a bit. Until the last episode. Which is very, very poor. Shame.

I wondered if there was a second series being considered as that suitcase could wash up on a beach somewhere!

I liked having a drama that didn't involve detectives, at least as the main plot point, it made a change. The 3 main actors/actresses were good but the story and script weren't up to scratch. It seemed like they tried to fit too much in. Richardson's story, with her husband and the magazine, seemed to fizzle to nothing. The 'comedic' killing of the husband was just weird. None of them seemed to have any problems with it. But what I found a bit heartless, and again I think one of the characters would have said something, was her falsely identifying another body as her husband! Did any of them think there might be a family searching for someone who'll never be found because the body has been claimed as her husband.
I'm not sure I'd watch a second series.

That's something that hadn't occurred to me but you are right. That would a very cruel thing to do.
