Finished The Swingers series 2, which ended with at least as much carnage as series 1. There's a third series which I've just watched the trailer for and which will hopefully come to Walter Presents. Also I've just found out that the principal couples in series 1 & 2 were played by actors who are also couples in real life.
I've discovered that two things I was waiting for - Thicker Than Water series 2 (Swedish) and Acquitted series 2 (Norwegian) - are already available on All4. I don't think either has been shown on C4 or More4, not even the first episode - they've gone straight to box set.

Was Thicker Than Water the one set in a hotel? I gave that up halfway through as it was really dragging.

Yes, a hotel. The basic idea was pinched from Danish series The Legacy (shown on Sky Arts). It's darker than The Legacy and not as good, but still interesting enough for me to follow it.

Code 37, Sex Crimes
Blimey, were the men in this time travellers from1976?
And seriously, she left her sex phone at home? Surely to goodness that is the one phone she would have with her when going out for sex?

Not only did the men look like they were from the 1970s, the attitudes to women seem to come from that decade too! I don't know anything about Belgian law enforcement, but the whole premise that there would be a sex crimes investigation unit, which has priority even when there's been a murder, seems strange. I think Walter Presents may be scraping the bottom of the barrel in bringing us this one.

To me this is a very odd show. I am only half way through epi 2 but we have a boss who is like an extra from a Cyndi Lauper video and a team who are straight outta The Sweeney! I think I prefer Law & Order SVU to this but I shall persevere..... once I get a refill, lol.

Remember Icelandic crime drama 'Case' on C4 early last year? - no, neither do I particularly well. It's still on All4: www.channel4.com/programmes/caseThis Friday, 7 September, 'The Court' will be available on Walter Presents, with two series of 6 episodes each going straight to box set. It's described as a prequel to Case and has some of the same main characters: inews.co.uk/culture/television/the-court-case-walter-presents-all-4/"Prequel" is misleading though - it's only a prequel here because we're getting them shown the wrong way round. The Court ('Réttur' on imdb) was aired in Iceland in 2009 & 2010, Case in 2015. It's less noir than Case I think, and more of a legal drama - may give it a go. Also coming in a couple of weeks is Swedish police drama 'Alex' about a dirty cop trying to go straight, and with the rather familiar device of having a partner assigned whose brief is to spy on him: thekillingtimestv.wordpress.com/2018/08/22/walter-presents-confirms-alex-transmission-date/I'm not so sure about this one, which looks a bit savage. Episode 1 airs on C4, then the rest available on All4.

I remember Case and found it very disappointing. It was billed as being about an Icelandic ballerina found hanged in a theatre so I imagined shades of Black Swan. But she was a dance student and it was mainly about angsty teenagers IIRC.

Well that was quite a comprehensive trailer! That Logi isn't my kind of chap I don't think so I doubt I shall watch it.

I watched something called Cover Story (Icelandic I think) I quite enjoyed it and was looking forward to the next episode....which doesn't seem to be on Channel 4. Tried catch up but not there either. Very odd.

I missed that! Cover story is on All4 now - 12 episodes. The first episode only was shown on C4, so it'll have to be All4 if you want to see the rest.
It's quite old (2007), and watching Walter giving the intro just now I found the hand-held camerawork rather annoying. I'm not a fan of "wobblecam" - especially in subtitled dramas, where it makes for difficulties in following both the subtitles and the action. I'll probably try episode 1 just to see.

Code 37 Sex Crimes. Another bizarre episode. A lawyer asked the Ghent police to stop his daughter working as a prostitute when working as a prostitute is not illegal. And they take the case!!!!!! Other bizarre aspects I prefer not to dwell on, thank you very much!

I've just watched yesterday's Code 37. As you say, bizarre - and there was assault, but no sex crime!
We keep getting more of the eight year old case when something awful happened to Hannah Maes's mother, with flashbacks and now this rather juvenile (imo) case board she's put together at her home. I'm assuming her mother was raped and by the end of the series we'll find out by whom and why. I'm a bit confused about her mother's death though - last week I thought Hannah said her mother hanged herself, but this week it seems to have been an overdose.
