Hiya Hoody. Welcome to the board. Hiya Dame Bouncy. It is I, Leclerc! What I mean is It's Hoody Lover. I'm not new, just ham-fisted! Ask Miranda. I accidentally created a duplicate account by joining another pro boards forum. It wouldn't let me use the name Hoody Lover, which should have given me a clue. It didn't, so I opted for Hoody, then found I had two accounts on this forum, because if you have one pro boards account you are apparently known on all of 'em. I didn't know that, so I reported my duplicate account to Miranda, and she sorted me out, like the star she is. If you haven't by now lost the will to live, a big thank you for the warm words of welcome, because you thought I was a newbie. There are some really lovely people on here.

It did cross my mind that you might have been Hoody Lover, but I thought 'what the hell'

BBC One have renewed Shakespeare & Hathaway – Private Investigators for a second series. The daytime drama series will return for another ten episodes in 2019. IMO, instead of subjecting viewers to yet another 'talent' contest, the Beeb should repeat series 1 on a Saturday evening. It is ideal family viewing.

That would be a good idea, though I'd go for Sunday or Monday in the Death in Paradise (originally shown on Mondays, IFRC) or Good Karma Hospital slot. Moving On was shown in the evenings after its initial afternoon showing, though quite late in the evenings after Newsnight I think.

Only snag with that is they're 45 minute episodes which wouldn't fit well into those traditional 1-hour slots. on BBC1 only Saturday early evening would really be possible. BBC2 could work.

I think Moving On was on BBC2 in the evenings. I don't remember its afternoon position but programmes don't generally move from one channel to another, do they? All things are possible though. There's a lovely occasional series of 10-minute programmes called Meetings with Remarkable Trees which was used for a time as a filler. I'm sure there are others that would fit the bill. It just needs a programmer with imagination to make it happen!

Michael Portillo's series are made in 10 minute chunks, so they could fill (mind) the gap.
Or just pad out the lottery draw.
Anything is better than spending a fortune on yet another dance contest which will not attract the viewers who are in on a Saturday evening.
