I’m enjoying this, it is a bit contrived how they got there, but I did find it gripping

I’m enjoying this, it is a bit contrived how they got there, but I did find it gripping Yes it would have been more plausible if one of them had moved there after the war and then contacted them about the murders and ultimately we are left presuming that wherever this young soldier was stationed, he killed people this way. NCIS would have picked up that link much sooner I think, ha ha!

Oh right, I did wonder if it was worth going all the way to SF to fill something that short. Perhaps someone gets killed at the docks on their way home!!?

Pretty unconvincing stuff, this - and definitely more so than the originals. I hope the second story will be a bit more plausible (not holding my breath though).

It is the script that is wrong, it is so simple. There are no sentences that link, no conversations, just statements and for people who apparently know each other that comes over strange. The plots were fine.

At the beginning, announcer said final part of the series ,in a way of 'that is it'.

Yes I think it was all a bit far fetched, the original series was way more menacing.

The second story was a bit better. I notice it had a different director.
It's all been a bit flat though. It may be the scripts or the direction, but the main characters don't seem to interact well.
Four more episodes have already been filmed, planned to be aired next year. Since they're now in the can though, there's no opportunity to correct any shortcomings - so I expect it will continue to be just as flat.

It was a shame because somehow they managed to take interesting characters and make them dull and you were never convinced that the SF police would have given them 5 minutes of their time or miss vital clues like an earring by the roadside.
