what are your favourites & which ones haven't seen the light of day since they were first bought?
i love my slow cooker, it's used constantly in the winter. My latest love is my cold brew coffee maker. I've been drinking iced coffee and coffee soda for the past few days, heaven.
i did buy a stove top home smoker a few years back but never used it.

THis one: and: A toaster which can also cook eggs (not just boiled), beans, and lots of other things; handy if you are in a rush for breakfast.

I'm a total gadget freak - many of which find their way to the back of the wardrobe never to be seen again.
I do like my press button battery operated salt and peppercorn grinder, and my cook's blowtorch, which has made many a lovely crème brulee, not to mention the best cheese on toast.
Bought a peeler at the market on Thursday which also does decorative effects on fruit and veggies, and makes spaghetti shreds of stuff like courgettes. Have found a mixture of courgettes, carrots and parsnips done like this and given a flash boil then dressed with herb or spice of the day, is quite delicious, and I guess it must be healthy too.
Love your toaster/egg cooker, TLW. I've never seen one of those before.

I love kitchen gadgets, but the one item that has been most used (not even a gadget really, a humble cooking device), is the basic two-pan steamer - simple but effective.
We have a George-Forman-type grill device, that is a lovely way to cook bits of chicken, but a faff to clean.

Bit like a saucepan then, lol I suppose so, but handy because it allows one person to do just enough for themselves, without having to use the power of a cooker.

I recently read about a toaster that makes a sound when the toast pops up, but if you don't collect the toast within 30 seconds it takes it back and keeps it warm till you want it.

Does anyone have a Breadmaker and do you actually use it.?
I have had one for a few years and gone from making all my bread it it to using it once in a blue moon.

I was really thrilled with my Karcher Window Vac, and having used it infrequently until it went out of guarantee, it just died. Impossible to get anyone to repair it here, so not a happy bunny.

Our most used kitchen gadgets are the George Foreman grill, Kenwood Chef mixer and our slow cooker. We use our soup maker in the winter. The bread maker has been consigned to the back of the cupboard.
Sqwerty - we buy special bags to use with our GF grill. They are reuseable, can be washed and keep the grill clean. Really useful. We got ours on the internet.

After years of using a bog standard pressure cooker, I invested in an electric one the other week. No more faffing about with weights, just set it up and wait for the buzzer. You can programme it to come on just before you come home, and when it's finished, it keeps the food warm until you want it.
I do have an Easyo yughurt maker somewhere.

I have a Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker, couldn't be easier to use, just bung on the lid and when it's come to pressure turn down the heat. It's incredibly safe to use, makes little noise and doesn't produce loads of steam.I can cook stewing/steak meat in 22mins as tender as you like for making stews or pies, can highly recommend to all those who like me were terrified of pressure cookers. www.lakeland.co.uk/12805/Kuhn-Rikon-Pressure-Cooker

I use my slow cooker a lot, especially in winter. Had a breadmaker, but even when I followed the instructions to the letter, we didn't like the bread! --- gave it to d.in.law and she uses it twice a week, and it's fine! Love my soup maker, bought a really cheap one to see if we'd like it, and we bung all kinds of veg into it for a quick healthy lunch. Now looking for a more expensive model as this one sometimes burns things on the bottom. You need one with large capacity, too - 2 litres at least. (Yes, I know you can add hot water to your finished soup but it's not the same!) Have a dry air fryer (Tefal) and we make supposedly healthy chips, and quick roasted veg in it. Love it, except it takes up lots of room.
