I didn't like Rita as a character, but I'd agree that the actress was good.
They've had a lot of departures recently, haven't they?

Not a lot of Casualty fans on here, by the looks.  I was sorry to see Rita go tonight. I know a lot of people didn't care for her but I liked her and Chloe Howman could act better than many of the cast. Would that Jacob would decide to go travelling. Good news I think that Elle will be staying, although she hasn't exactly won me over yet. The fact that she's so palsy with Jacob doesn't help her cause... I am a big Casualty fan Leslie, never missed many episodes. I'd like to see the back of Jacob too, not too keen on Robin either. I wonder if Duffy will be replacing Rita (I presume she's gone for good.) |

Except when it comes to her own life, LOL. Funny she got even worse treatment from her friends than Lily did for actual bullying (which IMHO should have resulted in an official censure and a permanent job for Dr. PInk Hair). Rita had really expressive eyes though, especially when she needed to well up. But are we sure she has gone for good and is not on an extended break? She may be doing a Lofty (appearing in Wimbledon next week!). I don't like a lot of them in it now. I am seriously fed up with Dr Pancake and Pudding Jacob. Plus, how come Robyn can blurt out stuff every week and never gets reported or sent on a training course. Grace is totally vile and a snob. Also, the immature paramedic is driving me mad. I hope I never get the likes of him if I need an ambulance. But apart from that....... I love it! |

I only caught the last twenty mins last night and I couldn't believe that Robyn character just blurted out something so personal and told to go and take a break. 
Nice to see that Charlie's acting ability hasn't changed in 30 years. |

One good thing about last night was that it was a Cal Free Zone. Always a plus for me!

And I really, really wish his father would retire. Something normal rather than the usual spectacular demise or just deciding to leave and leaving in the space of a shift would be good.

So I am just back from seeing Lofty in CCBBang and he was in fine fettle. Sadly half the audience was aged under 10 and talked most of the time. I gave loud applause to the Child Catcher at the end! On a more positive note, it also featured Barry and Cindy from Eastenders who were very good.
(PS Barry and Honey were in One Man Two Guv'nors last year and I have to say she really surprised me. Very good singing voice.)

Gutted that it wasn't SuperJacob in the car, but what kind of far-fetched cliffhanger was that?!
Still, I suppose SuperJacob's spidey senses will already be tingling and come the end of August (grrr) we'll see him reach the car in one bound and miraculously restore Grace and Connie to life. gaah
ETA Nice to see Ethan again, and Alicia. But Robyn and Glen? Nah, not getting it.

Agree about Robyn, but there again I don't like the character so whatever she does I am not interested in.
The trailer for the next episode looked interesting.

Please tell me that Louis does not come back for Charlie's party.
I thought the car drop was pretty spectacular! Shame Jacob wasn't giving that brat Grace the lift home then it might have been two birds, one stone. But I am sure he will be a superhero after The Olympics and rescue them both with the car being the only casualty.
So pleased to see Alicia back though. To my mind she is just the sort of character Casualty should have. I hope she stays beyond the two month placement.
