This is soap land so Connie will likely be back at work next episode. I agree about Jacob. He should have been in the car with that spoilt brat. Not a fan of Robyn either. Casualty is a bit "off" at the moment. Far too many unlikeable characters in my opinion. Don't get me started on "the hands constantly in pockets" porter Max.

I wonder if Honey ever comes back. Hope not; she was awful. I guess she might for her granddad dying or something.

Seems like Josh the paramedic from years back will be in the special episode.

even with the Olympics they make a space for Dead Enders, why can't they do it for Casualty and Holby?

Doesn't Casualty usually have a short break every summer?
I suppose it's easier to work around a 30 minute show than an hour-long one; my gripe is my guilty pleasure Doctors being taken off air for three months. Now that is something to grumble about.

I don't mind programmes being taken off for special events. I remember years ago, when I cancelled everything to watch Crossroads, my employer saying to me. "You need to control the TV not let it control you". I have remembered that ever since and not taken it all too serious.

The next episode is the feature length anniversary special!!!!!! As opposed to the two previous anniversary specials. It runs from 8.00 To 9.50. I have an awful feeling it is going to be a mega Jacob-fest. I just hope Caleb is on holiday. By the way, the episode is titled Too Old For This SHIFT which I misread and thought "Really? That is a bit bold!"

I've stopped watching but can't resist reading what others have to say about it.

You're not the only one who misread it, lol!
I haven't watched Casualty for years (I remember watching the episode that Kate Winslett appeared in), but I'm going to record the anniversary episode as I saw the trailer and it featured the Clifton Suspension Bridge. I know Casualty used to be filmed in Bristol (which was when I watched it), so I'm hoping there are going to be other familiar landmarks in this episode, too.

I was living in Bristol when they filmed it there. Always made me laugh when the ambulance crew would be at the docks having a coffee, get a call, going flying around a corner and be in Fishponds!

I have seen some of the trailers the BBC have been showing and it appears there is to be a conflagration of tremendous proportion, how the heck that hospital is still standing given the previous fires, explosions, sieges, gun attacks etc is beyond me.
