So thought I would get another thread started for the old warhorse!
Needless to say I was horrified that Pudding and Pancake made a reappearance, I had hoped that little joke had died.
And I felt a bit sorry for Dylan being bullied into accepting his family into his life when he really didn't want them at all. Although the anti-smoking message was laid on a bit thick in that sub plot.
Great to see Duffy back though.
So I thought the 1000th episode was going to be the TV movie starring Jacob - obviously misread digispy! We have had the 30 years as well, so what will that celebrate? I am losing track.

Well I tracked down Lofty and his tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. He is in Wimbledon in July so thought I would go and have a look on the pensioner discount ticket! I am not a great fan of this show (although I only saw the film once) but it might be a laugh. Spurred on by this I slogged over to Richmond where Trixie from Call The Midwife is touring with After Miss Julie, a very different kettle of fish, also in July. This time the pensioner price was £15!!!!! Bargain!

I saw CCBB years ago when it was at the Palladium, Marion. It was a good show. I think it was Gary Wilmot starring.
On to Casualty. I found it very meh for a milestone episode. I realised that Dr Pancake had to have a redemption story, but was this really the time for it?
Was I wrong in thinking Duffy is coming back as a recurring character?

Oh well, good to hear!! Gary Wilmott is still treading the boards, I saw him in a musical last year in Wimbledon about 2 con men on the Riviera, forget the name.
Duffy is deffo supposed to be back so I think the holiday and husband in NZ story is a porky!
I just cannot work out what they have left to commemorate with the 90min Jacob extravaganza.

I read somewhere she is back in August. I think I must have missed something in Casualty...Why do they call that new Doctor pancake??

It is a TOTALLY HILARIOUS in-joke between Jacob and Elle who call each other Pancake and Pudding. Groan!!!!!!

Is it very wrong that when the vengeful father intoned so dramatically, "They're headed for the waterfall!" I laughed?

Well I laughed when we got the first shot of the waterfall. I thought this was supposed to be a feature length special according to online reports. And I have to say Jacob staggering out of a storm drain wasn't a patch on George Clooney in ER.
Also, the fictional NHS doesn't stint on the hotel accommodation it rents for staff does it?? What a room!

Well there goes the extra £350m a week. Woo-hoo! No more Travel Lodge!
Rita's turn on the naughty chair next week, I suppose.

Well she won't be there for long if Lily and Pancake-Pudding are anything to go by! They need lessons in grudge bearing from an old bat. I'll get my CV ready!

Not a lot of Casualty fans on here, by the looks. I was sorry to see Rita go tonight. I know a lot of people didn't care for her but I liked her and Chloe Howman could act better than many of the cast. Would that Jacob would decide to go travelling. Good news I think that Elle will be staying, although she hasn't exactly won me over yet. The fact that she's so palsy with Jacob doesn't help her cause...
