I watched this for the first time in years tonight. What's happened to Duffy? She's not herself at all.

She was very stressed. Torn between two lovers, as the song goes, not to mention that awful birth. But I for one was, pleased by the end. I don't reckon much on Lily's choice of beau though. And Alicia is still with Cal so not too pleased about that.

Thank you. Torn between Charlie and who else, if I may ask? Is she still married? I really ought to start watching again.

I think she was married to a guy called Peter who is back in New Zealand. Their marriage is a bit rocky and she wanted to come back to the UK. I think she's always had a soft spot for Charlie and Duffy's son mentioned that when she thought no one was looking she'd look at a picture of her and Charlie taken back in the 80's when the show first started. ...I did miss a couple of years when I stopped watching but I don't think there were any Duffy/Charlie moments there;-)

Thank you. I like the idea of them together.

Thank you. I like the idea of them together. The scene with Dylan and Seb was lovely...not the scene on the boat...I did want it to be Dylan and Lofty...ohh maybe Lofty comes back and is jealous of them! I know Dylan's straight but come on!! All his scenes and scenes of emotion/closeness have, recently, been with Lofty, Max or Seb!Who are the writers trying to fool? And why take a picture of the 'No Xmas dec' sign?People already know. And you know its going to be at a wide angle so everyone sees it next week!

Also it's been in the paper that the BBC want to show dramas on Saturday night, dramas more like Missing, Happy Valley etc, but where will that leave Casualty? Cause those type of dramas can't be shown before 9pm and then the news and lotto follow so the next programme won't be until 10:30pm which is a bit late for Casualty. Maybe they'll move it to Sunday's at 8pm (I think they'd want to keep 9pm for Poldark and those period dramas) I've always seen Saturday's as family shows and light drama, nothing too serious.

I am very surprised they want to show things like Happy Valley on a Saturday. It seems a tricky day to schedule as it is traditionally a family viewing day, but then loads of people are out and about on a Saturday night. So wouldn't the figures for a top drama fall if on then? Having said that I record Casualty and usually watch Sunday pm. That way I can FF when Cal starts to feature. God I wish he would leave! And every week I hope Alicia will see what a jerk he is and dump him for Ethan..... although will he want his brother's ex?
PS I read that the lotto show is being dropped soon and will only be online. In what form I know not.

Does anyone find Elle as irritating as I do.?

I agree she is irritating, particularly when in the ridiculous pudding and partridge or whatever it is nonsense with Jacob. But for me she is well behind Jacob and Cal!!!!!!!! So far behind as to barely register as an irritant. Speaking of irritants, where is Robyn? can anyone remember? She can't be on maternity leave yet, surely.
PS. Confused!!!! Just started last night's epi and Robyn is there, but she is planning on getting drunk and ending the night in a skip..... so what happened to the baby then? I thought they managed to save the pregnancy. Perhaps all will be revealed in the rest of the epi, but if not please leave an update!

Seems she was just trying to keep the pregnancy secret.
All a bit tedious last night. I didn't quite get what "Carls" died of. And the mother of the burned boy was appalling.

Yes, all my questions answered once I actually watched the whole thing! But how was it secret when IIRC she had the near miscarriage in the hospital.......
Didnt the girl die of a gastric ulcer which presumably burst? Shades of Downton Abbey when the Earl exploded over dinner. What a scene that was!
One big disappointment for me is Alicia. I have always disliked the way Cal bullies Ethan and now she is joining in with it! Stop it now Alicia and go back to being nice Dr. PInk Hair please. Enough of grabbing people's phones and fiddling with their dating profile etc etc. It is not funny, it is spiteful IMO.

It's because she's aware of his feelings, I guess. Diversion tactics. But yes, annoying. My guess is something will happen over Christmas or New Year.

Well you know how we are all expecting Lee to come a cropper then in EE, is it too much to hope for that the same thing may happen to Cal??
