This is excellent. I only found it today and have been initiated into 5 Demand which was a bit tricky initially but functioning well now. Gripping stuff and I'll watch the remaining episodes over the weekend. Carolina Main's Irish accent is flawless to my ear, though no doubt a local would note any slips. She was one of the detectives in Unforgotten.

Watching this I had assumed that Carolina Main is Irish and that the accent she used in Unforgotten was the assumed one...but I have just discovered it's the other way round. She's a Londoner!
Just watched the last episode. Oh goodness......

How sad. Great how all the assumptions we’d had about him were wrong.

Yes, sad, and as I think we mostly suspected the father wasn't such a monster. Stealing the money wasn't good however, even though he tried to give it back when no longer needed for the intended purpose.
I thought this was a well acted and satisfying drama.

I thought the bit about the gun was rather weak and only there to give Barry the opportunity to use it. I agree Jim was no saint, but that made him a believable character. The scenes between him and his wife were very moving. Good stuff.

Series 2 could be coming soon. It aired in Ireland and has just finished its run in the US, and 5Select is repeating Series 1 (next is 12.00 am Saturday night/Sunday morning).

If I can find it I will rewatch as I've forgotten most of the details. Good news that it's coming back, though from what I do remember the story was complete, so will this be a new story I wonder?

Yes, it's a new story, still starring Adrian Dunbar and other members of his character's family - but not, I think, Cat who was a main character in S1.

Watched the first three episodes, with two to go tonight. I remember that being a bit confusing when it was first shown as IMDB shows six episodes, but the first was very long so presumably reorganised to fit in with schedules at the time. I still can't remember the detail of how it ends but my goodness, what a lot of skeletons tumbling out of cupboards! Very bad decision of Cat's not to stay with Barry when he asked her to, given the blow to his already fragile state.

It was repeated recently, sootycat, so should still be on C5 catch-up.

For anyone using series link.
My EPG is still not showing anything for Friday on channel 5 when this concludes with a double episode.
