I have a few episodes of Cold Case that I recorded, and at the moment I am going through Season One, which I just started. I am on episode 2, Gleen; the one about the box of laundry soap that blows up.

The original theme music of Silent Witness, written by John Harle, before they started mucking about with it. It's haunting and beautiful, with the solo voice of Sarah Leonard: .

One of my local repeat stations has been showing the old Nancy Drew mysteries and it reminds me of what a crush I had on Pamela Sue Martin as a teenage boy in the mid 70s.
I love the opening montage of the series and how the covers of the paperback novels provides the wallpaper.

Back before Johnny Depp was a Hollywood star he appeared in the cop show "21 Jump Street" about a group of police officers that looked so young they were chosen to be members of an undercover unit that would routinely place them in high schools pretending to be students and uncovering some sort of trouble afoot. Johnny definitely looks to be a late teen here.
Gotta love an 80's mullet too.

Gambon's Maigret. To my mind, the best of the English versions. The theme tune is nice, as well. I couldn't find a stand-alone version of the theme, so I just posted this which happens to have an episode stuck on at the end of the tune.

A bit reminiscent of something that might be part of the Godfather soundtrack.

All these years later this one still seems one of the best program intros/outros ever.

Apart from all those ads! Fair point! I always wondered if the "agony of defeat" fella knew that for about 30 years straight every Saturday and Sunday afternoon people saw him crash off that ski jump ramp! He is the only clip never changed over the years.

You're right. I can't imagine Ski Sunday here featuring Eddie the Eagle in the opening credits!
