I've just been binge-watching the series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I couldn't quite remember who Odi was, though. I seem to have vague recollections of a blond synth from S1 who was the synth for an old guy in a house who later died (the man, but possibly the synth too). Was that Odi?

Yes, but his name was Odi.

Lol, yes, I've just gone in to edit my post about the name - didn't see your reply at the time. Thanks, pearl06.

No, I thought his name was Odin, but then I was reading the thread on Digital Spy and saw I was wrong, lol.

Poo ... now that my Tivo box has died, I've lost both series 2 and 3 of Humans. I was looking forward to watching them. I guess I'll have to buy the box sets. Assuming there are ones.

He was in series two too, though not so prominently as series one.

It looks like all three series are currently available on 4 Catch Up, cakewalk.

“Humans will not be returning for another series. The show has had three successful series and has been much loved by fans”, a representative of Channel 4 said in a statement. “We are incredibly proud of Humans and the hugely talented creative team, in front of and behind the camera.”

I recorded eps 2–8 of series 3 but not ep 1 for some reason and didn't get round to watching because catch-up is such a pain to access. However, I did watch ep 1 last night, struggled to remember who everyone was, and found it all very dark. Didn't much care for the messianic presentation of Odi, which perhaps means he is doomed. But I will persevere, if only to free up space on my Humax box!

I'm not really surprised, as the show didn't really seem to have anywhere to go after S3.
I always thought the Swedish original - Äkta människor (Real Humans) - was better. That only had two seasons, and probably would have gone on for more if Channel 4 & AMC hadn't pinched its creator Lars Lundström and hijacked the rights.

I didn't see the original, will look out for it if it ever appears here. I thought the original premise was clever and quite sinister, but agree (not having seen the end yet!) that there isn't anywhere to go. I'm assuming it will not end well for the synths ...

I enjoyed it, but the ending was very depressing. I didn't like the way Max changed and the result of Mia's Gandhi like stance. They'd really done all they could with it. People's behaviour in Humans was a bit too close to real life, too.
