I agree, it's a strange time to broadcast it. Will give it a try though. Just to see how the Us version compares to our own.

I'm going to record it and watch it at a more convenient time.

I recorded it & have just seen it: similar to the UK version but of course even more brash and glitzy. It was fun, but of course we don't know half of the participants, so it's not as much fun trying to guess their identity.
The two women on the panel are very shrieky and loud. The guy who is also on the UK version, is very funny.
I might indulge myself in watching the next episode, though!!

Yes, I agree about not knowing the participants, but hopefully there will be some more well-known ones as the series progresses. The costumes were fab! 😀

If anyone is interested, series 3 is in ITV2 at 3.50 pm. Monday to Friday. Don't watch it myself, as the ITV 1 version didn't interest me enough to continue watching.

I never got into this, oddly enough. I usually like silly talent shows. I think it was the panel that put me off. Wasn't Jonathon Ross on it? Can't stand that fella now. He crossed the line from flirty to creepy quite a while ago.
I remember shouting 'that's obviously Ceelo Green!' at the TV but I never watched it again.

I watched the US version, even though I heartily dislike two of the panel (Jenny McCarthy and Robin Thicke). I knew of about half of the singers, but the only one I might have guessed was Seal. I felt quite bad that so many of the clues to his identity were about his ex-wife, Heidi Klum. I guess that’s what he’s mostly known for in the US.
In general, I enjoyed the series.

As usual, they whip the audience up into a complete frenzy. It's exhausting!!!
But some of the contestants are quite touchingly emotional about their performance.

Jenny McCarthy achieved fame for being a Playboy model then as a comedic actress doing the "dumb blonde" stereotype.
She has an autistic son and is very vocal in campaigning against childhood immunizations, feeling that they lead to autism.
So it's sort of odd to see her in her professional career as the loud, brash, big boobed blonde.
Then see her being deeply serious in discussing parenting and autism warning against immunizations.
She is married to actor Donny Whalberg and they live here in Chicago and have a reality tv series about their home life. Like Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne series.

Yeah, it was quite a hard watch for me, having to tune her out in order to enjoy the show.
