Hedgehog used "cold feet" to try and throw tge scent onto John Thompson, but then used Scarborough which Jason Manford starred in.
Queen Bee used "aloud" and "mix", but I think it's a Girls Aloud singer. Nicola Roberts or Kimerbely Walsh...is Kimberley Walsh from Liverpool? Cause the person is Liverpudlian, so I'll go Walsh.
Octopus, I haven't heard yet, but I'll go with Charlotte Church.

I've just screamed, "aha ha, she's definitely got a Welsh accent" but both Charlotte Church and Katherine Jenkins are Welsh! Arghhh.
Im listening now and think it might be Katherine Jenkins...
Ohh, I don't know now cause she seemed to loose breath a bit and not sure Jenkins would, also seemed to act the song. Amy Nuttall was in Emmerdale and she said Jonathan Ross was close, so maybe not Sheree Murphy as he said but Nuttall who was in Emmerdale and Amy Nuttall has an operatic type voice...
But what's the 'bell' clue about. Church bell? Charlotte Church? But what's she got to do with Emmerdale? Also not sure about the Welsh accent now?! God, this show. Lol 😁

Well ... that was the first one I've got right.  I'm wavering about Hedgehog now - as prof says, his chest isn't broad enough. Could well be Jason Manford - he has the mannerisms but I've never heard him sing. But there was a can of hairspray in one the early episodes' clues. Has Manford been in that as well as Ball? |

Yeah Manford done Hair spray aswell, but the Scarborough reference is probably for the BBC1 show.

I didn't watch this from the start as I thought 'Not another singing show', but I saw all your posts on here and curiosity got the better of me, lol. This was bonkers, but so much fun! Definitely a programme to lift the spirits and something to look forward to. I liked how the contestants imbued their characters with personality, and there were some incredible performances that were a sheer delight to hear and see.
I thought the right three were in the final. I loved the giggliness of Octopus, and thought KJ was an absolute legend for embracing the concept so fully and just going all out to have so much fun with the show. I hadn't really heard of JM before, but I loved his steampunk costume for Hedgehog, and some of his song choices were fab at showing his theatrics and range. NR's vocals were so pure and sublime; I'm glad she was able to showcase her talents, and I hope it leads to a huge boost in her career. Loved her Queen Bee look, too. 🙂

I loved this programme.
I guessed Jason but not the others.
I found the Bee mask creepy, I think that might have had something to do with a horror film I once saw about spooky dolls.!

I only started to watch last week, but enjoyed it. Im sure they'll be another series and with all the people they've had, people I recognise!, I'm sure they'll be queuing up to be on the next series.
I found Queen Bee a bit scary during slower songs. I think its cause the mask has not emotion on the face and the eyes are so big and don't blink. It's the same with all the masks, but Octopus has a big smile and Hedgehog is cute, but Queen Bee was a bit like the Mona Lisa.

I listened to 2 episodes of this. I say listened as after the first few minutes I was drawn to things on my iPad. Great singing, but I just couldn’t keep my attention on a huge mask that doesn’t move or show any emotion, and the panel irritated me. I didn’t watch the final, but have been interested to see who was behind the masks. Wonder if they could get rid of the panel next time?

I've loved every episode of this series, including last night's. What a great concept. I don't think it would work without the panel and I hope they do another series.

I've enjoyed the series, though I only watched the last half hours. Jason Manfold has a great voice. I did think Katherine Jenkins for Octopus (got that one right), couldn't guess Queen Bee though. Would probably watch if they did another series.

It looks like Season 2 of the US version of The Masked Singer is coming to ITV next Saturday at 4.40pm. I'll give it a whirl (I'm definitely in need of light entertainment right now!).  |
