He had a triple by-pass last year . But with the technology at their disposal Im sure something could have been worked out without him even leaving his mansion. Unless there is another reason. ...the Beeb have long memories... Think Michael Vaughan(a big friend of Geoffreys) is being brought in to commentate. Another Yorshireman who says it as it is.

I remember the series in 1963 And I saw Sir Gary at Lords in, I think, a Gillette Cup match It was towards the end of his career, but he was still a joy to watch
