I feel sorry for everyone else involved in this production, as they're being penalised through no fault of their own, and it must taint their experiences of working on the show. Will they strike it from their CVs?
Brave of the women to come forward.

Extremely brave, given that it could end their careers still. It won't be given as the reason but I bet quite a few extras and runners suddenly find they have no work.

Look if only half of what he has done is true, then he has still done enough to be prosecuted for several offences.
The fact that they've moved it to ITV Hub is allowing the series to finish.
They didn't have to do that and you've got 2 days to watch it.
There were some very young vulnerable women involved in this. If they were under 18 he'd possibly be charged with grooming. They weren't because he's clever. The Guardian have researched their story, they have even contacted ex-partners and previous friends of claimants to corroborate what has been alleged. They have photos, witness statements.
Personally I think ITV should have binned the last episode and simply announced what happened and I do hope part of the episode wasn't anyone abusing someone because that would just make it worse.
Deserves anything he gets even if only half is true as I said, it's still enough.

A copy of the article in the Guardian, just in case anyone commenting hasn't read it.

Well I really wanted to watch the finale to find out what happened. I'll have to look out for it on the ITV hub - I notice the other episodes are only available for 2 days, so I'll probably have till Sunday. Whether Noel turns out to be guilty or not, I'm quite annoyed with The Guardian now for releasing their article when they did - they could have waited another day! So its OK to show on ITV hub but not ITV. If you have to make a stand at least be consistent. As for the Guardian they probably held on to the story and deliberately released it today to make the bigger splash. The Guardian have been working on this for 2-3 weeks as it seems the allegations only came out after the BAFTA awards.
BAFTA said the emails it received were...
“...either anonymous or second or third-hand accounts via intermediaries”.
“No first-hand allegations were sent to us. No names, times, dates, productions or other details were ever provided.
“Had the victims gone on record as they have with The Guardian, the award would have been suspended immediately. Noel Clarke’s counsel received a legal notice to this effect.
“It was always very clear what our intentions would be.
“We asked for individuals to come forward with their accounts and identify themselves, as they have done with The Guardian, but due to the anonymous claims and the lack of first-hand specificity, we did not have sufficient grounds to take action.”
So it strikes me the victims were encouraged to go exclusively to The Guardian, who have apparently orchestrated this and deliberately decided the release date for the information. I am not crticising the victims if they felt this was the best way to get their experience taken seriously, but I am viewing The Guardian's involvement with considerable cynicism.
As for the production itself, I have now watched the final part on ITV Hub and thought it was very good. I'm sorry for any who have suffered as a result of Noel Clarke's actions, and also for the many people involved in what should have been a highly acclaimed drama but which will probably now be unmentionable and forgotten.

I don't think anyone believes the Guardian didn't think about when to release this story to maximise their own benefit. They are, after all, journalists.

Miranda - I've now read the Guardian article from your very long post. Wow! - that's a lot of damning evidence of abuse and bullying. He isn't going to be wriggling out of this one is he, no matter how good his lawyers may be.

I watched the final episode last night. For those who want to know what happened but feel uncomfortable watching, here’s a quick summary: {SPOILER:Click to Show} Kate confessed to Carl that she killed Anna. Martin went to feed the plants downstairs and realised from a photo that the flat had changed since the S. African guy had been at home. Beneath a rug were bloodstains that led to him finding Gemma in the freezer. Gemma had caught Zoe spying and in the subsequent row Zoe pushed her over the bannister. Not exactly an accident, more an impulse. Martin had dinner with Caitlin and Zoe, but finally turned her in. I had a lot of respect for Noel Clarke as someone who couldn’t get the parts he wanted so wrote his own and then produced them, promoting diversity in his projects. I’m so disappointed that he has turned out to be such a d**k to others.

Thanks for posting the Guardian article Miranda. It makes for pretty awful but damning reading. It is an excellent piece of journalism.

Well I just caught up with the end of this and have to say that as a piece of drama I thought it was very good. I was quite bemused by the fact that on the hub all the adverts were still shown in the episode. I think they should have removed those and repaid the advertisers if they were taking a moral stance. Or indeed the advertisers might have asked for their removal.
I don’t think I have seen Noel Clarke in anything before this because I haven’t seen Kidulthood etc, nor do I have Sky.
