I forgot it was on! Changed over just in time to see Lee Mack doing a 'quiz show'. According to DS, that was the correct episode. No story about 'on the buses' at all. That was what Pemberton and Shearsmith wanted to be shown.

I-Player describe it as a "replacement to the advertised programme" so it was changed from how the BBC intended to show them.

The bus episode was never going to happen. It doesn't exist. The 3x3 was set to catch us out. I rather enjoyed it, if "enjoyed" is the right way. Was rather well done, I thought.

Ah - makes sense. Not watched the latest one and was not aware of fans wanting a 'bus themed' episode.
I did wonder about the plot featuring Asquith's commuter and his "numerous nieces" however I presumed it was look back at the comedies of the 70s...
