The wonderful Lumix, all the gods bless him, has added some new functionality. In your profiles, there is now a facility to add your favourite smilies, up to 25. You can add and delete without affecting the main store of emoticons. The New Post tab will take you straight to the latest post and list them newest first. And the big button with the white arrow over there ---> will take you straight to the top or bottom of the page. All hail Lumix!

Fantastic news! (And I love the 'New Post' tab - makes it quicker to get to.) Thanks, Lumix.

The personal smileys is an absolutely fantastic idea and I have already added four - however, on my tablet, I have yet to manage to highlight the text in order to use them. Is there any way to make more of a gap to stop me hitting either the bottom row of smiley images or the 'disable smileys' text?
Well done to Lumix!!

Very true! I'd forgotten about them.... As had I. But as discussed on the 'old' board, they're not that intrusive. I'm a late adopter of technology, usually for financial reasons, but it's become a general habit, so I've ignored the 'white arrow', up till now, but I will give this thing a go, because I can see it speeding my browsing up...

Adverts on here are not a problem. Go HERE to see my forum with adverts. They are only displayed as a narrow banner top and bottom of each page.
Thanks for the kind remarks above. I do hope this forum is successful and I will do all I can to help the Admin here achieve that. Miranda has given me access to the forum, but I'm only here to help build the forum. Please don't PM me with request for features. Do that via Miranda and I will take my orders from her.
Onwards and upwards lets get this forum swinging.

I'm starting to think that 'personal smileys' isn't actually 'clickable'. Even if I disable smileys and then get into the list that says 'personal smileys' and 'enable smileys' I still can't choose the 'personal smileys' option.

The personal smileys that you upload appear below the Personal Smiley label.

Even if I disable smileys and then get into the list that says 'personal smileys' and 'enable smileys' I still can't choose the 'personal smileys' option. I have just tested this option and it is working OK. Perhaps you are doing it a little different to me so here's how I do it. Go to your profile and select edit, settings and at the bottom there is a space to insert the smile code. You may have to click on set changes first to get the lines up to post on. Make sure you are using the URL code for the smiley. Click set changes once again. If you have the correct code when you place your cursor over the code the smiley will be shown above in the box. When all this is done remember to click save account settings before returning to the main forum. Start a post and select the smiles panel. Your smiles should be seen ready for you to just click on and insert. This all works ok on both PC and Tablet. Any problems get back to me.

Thanks Lumix, I thought I had saved (I did save at the bottom but had missed the fact that I had to save in the smiley box first). Testing.... OK, there's a problem with the smiley, I can fix that, I know what it should look like now. Thanks Lumix!

There we go. I had copied a forum link which included the [ img ] and that needed to be removed.
