Could we not just have a thread somewhere headed 'Series start dates'? We could ,if it stayed as just that ,an alert if you like. The problem might be it wouldn't stay like that ,and just become another discussion so individual comments would get lost. Far better ,in my opinion, just to start an individual thread on a programme, with start date and time etc. |

That was the other reason for doing it on a calendar. There would be no room for comment.

So if I start a thread saying X is going to start on... It's about...... (Which I do quite a lot), do you want me to put it in the calendar as well or do the mods do that? If I should, is there a way to do it? Perhaps you could PM me if I have to do anything! I need instruction.

I'm actually considering locking it so only I can use it because it isn't obvious how to do it without creating a thread.
So yeah, just do what you've always done and I will look after the calendar. But I will take requests.

I've just noticed that a reminder for 'The Secret Agent' appears in 'Today's Events' in the 'Forum Information & Statistics' bit on the Home page, so that's pretty cool.  |

As in, it only lasts until the event has passed (once that day's been reached) - which is fair enough, and what you'd expect - or that after today we won't get any more 'Today's Events' appearing?

Oh no, sorry. If a day has an event, it will show up in the Info box.

Yeah, that's not the most user-friendly board, is it? But then they probably have to keep the costs down on such a big board. At the moment I'm using the free capability. It will run out fairly soon so there will be things that would be nice but which we can't have.
