Yes, they have a son.
Looking forward to another afternoon in front of the telly for the remaining gymnastics.
Have they been very quiet or have the stadium athletics not started yet? There doesnt seem much more time for a full suite of sports plus para ones. Usually you are lucky to find anything else when the athletics are on as the BBC goes into overdrive.

It was on BBC2 then BBC1 today, but big gaps between each discipline. It will be in iPlayer I’m sure, under Gymnastic Finals rather than the main shows with other bits. You just have to FF every now and again!

I'm watching the Bronze Medal match in the Men's Bowls. So much better without the music! Hopefully that nonsense will never happen again.

I’m just watching a bit of the women’s cross country BMX…. What is this music that’s playing? Is it live at the venue or are the BBC treating us to a soundtrack for the commentators to shout over? Is it normal to have music? It’s too much for me with the cheering and whistling as well. Beyoncé at the moment.

Aussies dominating the swimming as usual. Unfortunately Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle -Dum remain in the CB. Constantly interrupting each other with tedious waffle and giggling at each others jokes thank goodness for the mute button.

I heard them last night. Well more to the point I couldn’t hear them properly last night! They drop their voices so much especially when they start muttering to each other. And then eventually they start to yell out who is where. Honestly, I think Claire Balding talks better about swimming than these two so-called experts.
This BMX is lasting forever. I’ve done some online shopping and started the laundry and it’s still going on. And our English lead just fell off her bike on a flat bit!

I don’t normally like weightlifting but enjoyed Emily Campbell’s match.
I didn’t know weightlifting, boxing and modern pentathlon (love that!) have been dropped from the 2028 LA Olympics. What a shock! Doping and governance concerns apparently. Didn’t old Baron de Whatever design the modern pentathlon?

Modern Pentathlon was dropped because they said not enough countries had teams and they have to keep it relevant. I love watching it but take the point. Then again, why don't they promote it, especially in the forces?
I'm not aware that boxing was riddled with doping at the Olympics? Perhaps the US don't have a good team.
Similarly weight lifting. You do get doping in weightlifting but they could just ban the countries that are caught.
There's doping in most Olympic sports but they don't drop athletics do they.
Why don't they just make it 3 weeks and get everything in. I'd love to see bowls at the Olympics.
Did I hear that they might drop archery as well???
