The Traitors (USA) is coming tomorrow (13 th): BBC acquires The Traitors USFollowing the runaway success of The Traitors on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, the BBC has acquired the rights to The Traitors US from All3 Media International produced by Studio Lambert for NBC Universal. The series will land as a boxset on BBC iPlayer tomorrow (January 13 2023) and then be shown on both BBC Three and BBC One. Dan McGolpin, Director, iPlayer and Channels, says: “Following the huge success of The Traitors, which has been streamed more than 28 million times on BBC iPlayer and was the talk of the nation over the festive period, we’re delighted to give BBC viewers the chance to watch the brand new US series within hours of its release in America. Interesting. Will probably search it out on iplayer as MrC isn’t keen on it so we will undoubtedly be watching something when it airs on BBC1.

I wonder if their breakfasts will look as tasty and if a portrait of Alan Cumming will replace Claudia's in the breakfast room. 😆

I was not impressed with the trailer. Everything seemed too hysterical and shouty; not what I want. I will definitely be keeping away from this.

The Australian version of this starts on BBC3 on Sunday, then daily until Tuesday, at 8.00. The host is The Heart Guy! 😍. I didn’t watch the UK one but might sample episode 1 of this just to see how he does as host.

The Traitors returns for a second series with Claudia Winkleman once again playing host. It starts on Wednesday 3rd January at 9pm on BBC1. This time around, there's an additional programme called 'The Traitors: Uncloaked' being shown on BBC2 on Friday 5th January at 10pm with a debrief on the latest action from the castle.

There are also further tests. Where they have to choose to hunt for a token that will keep them alive or something.

There was a US version as well, but that included more 'celebrities' than our home-grown version which just took ordinary folk from all walks of life (that's the one which had me hooked). I still enjoyed that and the Aussie series, though - seems to have been a bigger hit than expected! Apparently, this year's participants who think they already know the game will face somewhat of a shock...

Not as bright a bunch as last year… they should be doing better than they are
i suspect some of them had thought they would find it easier because they had watched the first series… enough changes to surprise them out of that idea!

I’m enjoying it more than I thought I would after last year. Like you say, sleepy, was expecting more of the same I suppose but they are still keeping us on our toes (and the contestants)! I’m loving it. Apparently, Diane is Tom Burke’s mother (the actor who plays Strike). I like her, she seems to be very astute. And I really love, but hate Paul. He’s really playing the game.
