Did anyone watch the first episode of this? It is excellent and very intriguing. It stars Larry Lamb, Gaynor Faye, Rob James Collier and Samantha Bond, among others. It is being shown weekly with no streaming of the whole thing.

Oh yes, I was lured in by the great cast. Hooked by the story already.

It's the kind of drama I like: family relationships and perhaps some psychological manipulation with a mystery involved. The cast is fantastic. As usual The Telegraph critic and I disagree. He thinks it "drags its knuckles" and only gives it two stars. I loved it and am looking forward to the remaining episodes.

Lewis is looking a little grizzled in his retirement.

I was a bit irritated by the difference in the accents within the family… why did Daniel have to have such a thick Manchester (?) accent when his sisters didn’t? They had all grown up in that house in the countryside, not in the inner-city?
Nothing even vaguely pleasant about any of the characters as far as I could see…

Lewis is looking a little grizzled in his retirement. I only recognised him by his voice!

I loved it! Typical that Danny Dyer gets shown nightly and we have to wait for another week to see this. Very strong cast, and many unlikeable characters. The brother is horrible, such a bully.

"The brother is horrible, such a bully"
As was the nasty footman the actor played in Downton Abbey!

Well indeed! I hope it’s not typecasting, 😂😂. I did see him once on a chat show with various of the younger Downton stars and he was the liveliest of the bunch, very funny and chipper, whereas some were either shy or po-faced.

Episode 2 was just as frustrating! However, we are both intrigued with the story. What has the caravan got to do with anything?

I even read the digispy forum last night to see if the caravan angle was understood on there, and there was no info.
For me it’s another series stuffed with unlikeable people, and yet the story is involving so I’m quite enjoying it.

I can't work out what Chloe is up to. I also can't work out which of the characters I dislike the most. They are all horrible people.

Ooh, sudden thought, do you think Chloe maybe hid the first Will because it was in her favour at the expense of the others, to buy her silence over the affaire? Probably not, 😂😂.

Ooh, sudden thought, do you think Chloe maybe hid the first Will because it was in her favour at the expense of the others, to buy her silence over the affaire? Probably not, 😂😂. Or the reverse. She hid it because it was more favourable to one of the others (or someone else, maybe Michael) and she thinks she will get more out of the second wife by negotiating. I think there might be more secrets around Chloe than just that she knew about the affair.
