I would find that shocking. As much as I dislike his methods and smugness - he took a struggling franchise and turned it into the most successful dynasty in league history.
He should really have carte blanche to remain with the team as long as he likes and when he does retire be given a golden parachute in the form of a symbolic "consultant" no-show job that keeps him on the payroll until he passes.
Not to mention they are undefeated and look stronger than ever this season. The KC Cheifs are probably the only AFC team that can stand in their way for yet another (yawn) Super Bowl appearance.

On checking, it seems that Bayless has been saying this sort of thing every year for the past few years, most vociferously after Superbowl 52 for the crime of not playing Malcolm Butler when he should have.

There has been some scuttlebutt that the NFL might be looking into some (alleged) tampering by which the Patriots may have gotten together with Antonio Brown and orchestrated all of his outrageous behavior that led to the Raiders just saying they had enough an releasing him.
Brown always wanted to go to the Pats and the Pats always wanted him but the Steelers got a better deal to trade him to Oakland.
Its been rumored the frozen feet, I want my old helmet and screaming at the boss in public were all just ruses to get him sacked in Oakland and make him available.
Given ABs recent pouting after getting sacked from the Pats its conceivable he might be looking to throw the New England organization under the bus and say its all true.
If that happened there would need to be a fall guy. But I still doubt that it would be Belichick (even if he were behind it all).

Is World Cup Champion Carli Lloyd poised to be the first woman to play in the NFL?
A few weeks ago she wowed players and coaches at a Baltimore Ravens practice by making a number of field goals including one from 55 yards.
Many coaches and GMs - frustrated by the poor kicking displays by high salaried kickers the last few seasons - have said in recent days they would definitely give her a tryout in 2020.
There is no question about her leg strength and accuracy. However, Lloyd would need to refine her technique - she currently takes four steps to kick, an NFL kicker needs to only take 2 steps because of the defensive rush. She also needs to show she can kick wearing a full kit.
Her age is also an issue - at 38 most kickers are considering retirement - not their rookie campaign.
Lastly, she would need to prove she could tackle a returner running full speed if she were to also kick off.
That said, its not uncommon for teams to use their punter for kick offs and only use their kicker for field goals and extra points.
There are lots of girls/women kickers in high school football and on lower level college teams. So its only a matter of time before we see it in top end college and the NFL.
Lloyd could easily be on a roster for pre-season friendlies next year to test the waters.

The Buccaneers kicker, Matt Gay is getting trolled over this after missing a dying seconds kick to win the game over the Giants.

The Vikings - who have kicking woes - traded a 5th round draft pick to the Ravens during pre-season friendlies for a bloke (Kaare Vedvick) who could allegedly kick and punt both - which would allow them an extra roster spot to use on a position player.
So bad he was at both, the Vikes sacked him 2 weeks later. Ravens are laughing all the way to the bank on that one!
Then the Jets signed him just before week #1. He missed an extra point and his lone field goal attempt with the Jets so they sacked him after the game.
That is how bad the state of affairs is with kickers right now. Anyone who can swing a leg gets a look-see.
Of course Bears fans still hear echo's of the "double doink" that cost us the chance at the Super Bowl last season.
