Oh don't....
That's interesting about female kickers. I don't see why they can't be used in the NFL if they are good enough.

Last nights game was quite good, especially so with the Eagles beating the Packers 34-27. Very entertaining. Very well paced and lots of great back and forth play from both sides. A couple of former Bears were the standouts for Philadelphia. Receiver Alshon Jeffrey played despite being listed on the injury list right up until game time. He looked a little gimpy from time to time but turned in a brave effort and played well. Ironic that while with the Bears he had a reputation for being soft and sitting out anytime he was slightly injured. That rep is what got him sacked after his rookie contract expired with the Bears. But it was running back Jordan Howard who stole the show scoring three touchdowns - two running TDs and one receiving. Why was it that coach Nagy chucked him off the Bears again? Aaron Rogers threw a very uncharacteristic interception at end of the game, right at the goal line as the Packers were set to score and send the game to overtime. The Detroit Lions now sit surprisingly atop the NFC North with a record of 2-0-1, with the Packers in 2nd at 3-1 and the Bears and Vikes at 2-1. The Lions were the team no one was talking about. The pundits all trying to decide if it was the Bears, Packers or Vikings that would represent the division in the playoffs at seasons end. The Lions received no love at all. Its early but the division looks to be a tight 4 team race for sure.

Antonio Brown has un-retired, saying that the NFL needs him.

Yeah I saw that. He is also trying to wind-up some other NFL players with his childish tweets.
His agent has said that two teams have strong interest in signing him - they just want to first wait for the NFL to finish their investigation of the rape allegations.
But the feeling is he might be playing again by week 6. Ugh...

That is so wrong on all levels. His agent needs to rein him in, though, if he did try, he wouldn't be his agent.

I can't see any team wanting the hassle, TBH. How much disruption does in he cause at training and in the locker room? Especially with it being such a team game. Can any team afford that much trouble?

Can any team afford that much trouble? You are 100% correct Miranda. But what will happen is that some team that is making a strong push to the playoffs will overlook the drama and focus on the fact despite being an immature child he is probably the very best reciever in the NFL and is still at the peak of his career. He can take a good team and make them an immediate Super Bowl contender. Plus a lot of coaches have strong egos and think they can be the one to keep him in line. Hopefully the NFL investigation sides with the woman who accused him. However since he isn't on a team right now the NFL wont make the result of their investigation public. Only to AB and his agent. If he doesnt play again this season its safe to assume the NFL believed his accusers. He would never admit it publicly just tweet he decided not to play again. If he does sign with a team then the NFL will have to disclose they cleared him.

Yeah, you're right. Just a shame it will validate his behaviour if he does get another team. Oh well.

It usually is, yes! Should be on the BBC. Always has been in past years but I will check. Looking forward to it! I did go a few years back to see the Niners. My boss had spare tickets so sold them to me. My now-ex is a Niners fan so I thought it would be a great day. Bought train tickets and everything. And then on the morning he decided to throw a strop to ruin the day. (He had a habit of doing that). You should have seen his face when I put my coat on, left his tickets on the shelf and told him I'd see him later. Total shock. Even better was when I sent him a photo of me smiling and just over my shoulder he could see Joe Montana......

Glad you got up close to Joe Montana!!! One of the best ever and a humble friendly man by all accounts.
Shame about Gabriel. I know he missed the 4th quarter Monday I didn't know he was still unfit. He is rather smallish like Tarik Cohen. Its amazing the smaller players can take the pounding as well as they do and not be hurt more often.
The Bears have a promising rookie named Riley Ridley and a 2nd year reserve Javon Wimms. I reckon they will both fill in.

Montana certainly came over that way on the day. He was smaller than I was expecting but then, back in his day QBs didn't need to be 84 ft tall.

Amazing college game yesterday.
#1 Clemson Tigers (who have won 20 straight regular season games going back to 2017) were playing North Carolina Tarheels.
Such an upset it would be for Carolina to win that the NFL equivalent would be Dolphins third team reserves beating Patriots starting unit.
Well Clemson was up 21-14 late in the game, North Carolina scored to make it 21-20 with 1 minute to go.
Rather than kick the extra point to send the game to overtime, the Carolina coach rolled the bones and went for a 2 point conversion to win.
Unfortunately they didnt make it but well done to the 'heels for giving it all they had.
So good is Clemson that some pundits reckon they can beat a couple weaker NFL teams.

During the pre-game chat they just mentioned that when Kansas City Chiefs play against the Lions in Detroit today it will be the first time KC quarterback Patrick Mahomes has ever played in an indoor domed stadium in his life.
Never in the NFL or college.
Its throw away trivia but I found it interesting given how many domed stadiums there are in the NFL, college and college playoff bowl games are usually held in NFL stadiums.
Hmmm...Patrick Mahomes in a closed dome stadium. No sun, no rain, no wind, 70 degrees climate control temperature.
He might could throw for 600 yards today! Lol
