The Michael Sheen show about a convicted serial killer who helps out his profiler son. Sounds bit Hannibal Lechter doesn’t it? I spotted this at the weekend but am not sure if they have already aired the first episode last week, and the repeat was on Saturday. Anyhoo, it is on Thursdays at 9.00.

I enjoyed the first episode. Michael Sheen in 'mad-eyed' mode. He seems to enjoy playing that part.

V (2009)
This is playing daily on Pick at 4.00. It is a reboot of an original mini series from 1984 I believe and concerns an alien invasion of earth. I gather the original aliens were disguised lizards but not sure if that’s still the case. This was apparently a big hit but was cancelled after 2 series as it was extremely expensive to make. I recorded it today (I forgot I’d set it and wondered what was recording!!) but am only a few minutes in. I live in hope it will another BSG or The Expanse but very much doubt it, 😂.

I remember the 1984 series- yes it was lizards disguised as people. They were stealing Earths water and eating rodents. I think I enjoyed it at the time, nowadays the special effects would be laughable.
When David Icke came out with his “lizard people” conspiracy theory a few years later I did wonder if he had just watched an episode of it while drunk and thought it was real.

Well I finished part 1. The lead female was the Reverend Doctor in The Expanse. No sign of a proper lizard yet as the aliens have kept their human shape but we have been told the truth by the sleeper cell resistance. But also, there are humans who have somehow been made into lizards! So if you cut their skin you see green scales and not bone. I don’t quite know how that happened to them! A bit like those Cylons in BSG who didn’t know they were Cylons, but it could prove confusing to the viewer, well this one at least.

There was a child born of an alien and a human that had characteristics of both lizard and human, I think I remember. All a bit strange.

Yes, I remember V from first time around. The Lizard/human baby hybrid was really creepy. But at the time, I found the whole thing quite enthralling - in a Dallas kind of way. A bit of a soap, with some Star Trek thrown in 🤪 (in that “save the world” kind of sense!)

The people with the lizard skin under the human skin in this have been made that way I think and were originally just humans. But some of these lizardy humans are now fighting back and are willing to join the Resistance!!!! So far that was just human humans. And that’s just the pilot! I’m exhausted already.

I’m really enjoying this but have fallen a bit behind as it airs every day. It’s a shame it was cancelled because you can see that it was well made, and thus expensive. Ignore what I said about the lizardy humans though, I got that all wrong. Unless things develop!

A sci fi series about a team that investigates people with supernatural powers. Stars; David Straithaim, Ryan Cartwright, Erin Way, Summer Glau. Saw the trailer a few nights ago, will give it a watch.
