Bones.
Series 5 finished last night and you have to reset for the next one starting next Wednesday at the same time. The new one is series NINE!!!!! So if you want to know what happens in series 6,7 and 8 you have to look online and there are some big personal developments. Why do they do this? I think they are up to about series 15 or 16 in the US.

Wot?! How stupid is that! You can't miss out 3 series and expect people to keep up with it. I'm certainly not going to have time, or inclination, to watch all those episodes before next week.

Thanks for that. I don't expect we will get to see it on Pick..... in fact series 10 and 11 would be pretty recent for that channel! I have had a quick zip through recaps online to see what happens in their personal lives before series 9 starts but, like you Miranda, no way am I going to try and watch that number of series. It is bad enough here with the backlog of Haven episodes and various serials from Drama  (Perhaps it is an error and they really mean 6instead of 9, but I checked the RT site and that is saying the same thing. BUt they do have form with Bones as they didn't show the bit where the clever young guy got mixed up with a serial killer and arrested. So I was surprised when it came back on and he was in jail!) |

I recorded NY:ER last night as I'd not seen it before. I don't normally watch this kind of thing but it's quite good for its type. And the hospital is in a worse state than any of ours! One guy came in drunk and kept saying to the young doctor,
'I wanna see a doctor!'
'I am a doctor.'
'I have shoes older than you! I wanna see a doctor!'

If you get weirded out by anything to do with eyes, don't read the rest of this. I mean it. So patient comes in with history of Hep C and HIV. A nurse is dealing with him when the patient projectile vomits. The nurse moves away but it splashes back off the cubicle wall and hits the nurse in the face. Yeah I know. They rush the nurse to a shower and blast his face with cold water. Then they put two thin tubes into his lower eyelids and pump saline through to wash his eyes.....  |

It is back!!!!! After showing 11 episodes of the series, it is back this week. Why the hiatus I cannot understand. I think they only made 15 episodes. I found the first ones really good.

Well that is the question right there, Miranda. I didn't hear them say anything in the ad and we both know Pick has form in this area, i.e. Bones. However I imagine they would start with series 1.
