I knew it! It's always the way, they did the same with Home Fires but at least that got 2 series. It would have worked better on Sundays. Shame

So we will never have the answers to the questions raised by that ambiguous ending! I quite enjoyed it and, by and large, I'm sorry it won't be on again.

Just watched the first ep and enjoyed it but if they've done a Home Fires I won't continue to watch.

Just looking at the viewing figures and it would seem that Silent Witness did the dirty for The Halcyon, which is why I didn't watch it originally. Also the fact that the OH didn't think it was about intrigue because of the trailer, he enjoyed it very much after he watched it last night. What a pity.

Yes, they really screwed up with the scheduling. Everyone said it should have been on Sunday nights - and if they'd put it (instead of The Good Karma Hospital) up against SS-GB I'm sure audiences would have been a lot better. The GKH would still have gone down well on a weekday, like Death in Paradise.

Just watched the seventh episode, really good apart from the continuing singing from Kara Tointon in the hotel which is doing my head in, she's not a bad singer I just hate these contrived parts made for actors.
