I don’t believe so. Not when I looked for the pairs. Just as well as I must not spend any longer than the dance final watching skating this week.

Have you watched it yet? I'm really enjoying the routine of the young Georgian couple. Some original moves in their choreography.

Yes, I watched it all afternoon! I liked the Georgians too. In fact I really enjoyed the whole thing. And we had two couples in, two sisters which is amazing. Hurrah for us. After all that I have a bit of a backlog to catch up with.

The 2023 European Championships are in Espoo, Finland from January 25-29. I haven’t yet detected any sign of coverage on the BBC but it might get to iPlayer…. I live in hope.

After failing to find any coverage of the Europeans, we have more luck with the Worlds.
The schedule is:
Weds 22, Pairs and Women’s short.
Thurs 23, Pairs Free, Men’s short.
Fri 24, Dance rhythm, Women’s Free.
Sat 25 Dance and Men’s Free.
I’ve spotted Red Button coverage at 8.00 a.m. on the red button on Fri 24, and Sat 25, with some coverage on BBC2 at 14.45 on BBC2, Sun 26. There may be more on iPlayer.

I couldn’t find anything on the BBC but it could have been on Eurosport or whatever I guess. I’ve put the RB on series link and there are in fact quite a few programmes, not just the 2 I mentioned.

Well the red button recordings have been a bit hit and Miss, to put it mildly. I seem to have about 3 men’s free skates but no women’s! I’m sure I set it properly. But the women’s doesn’t appear to be on the iPlayer either, so who knows, 🤷♀️. I’ve just watched the pairs and thought they were fairly underwhelming really. Only the top three couples looked world class to me. We had a low placed couple, but they were robbed as the Georgians, who were all over the ice like ninepins at times, got higher marks. Didn’t understand that but I thought many of the couples were a bit scrappy. I might crack on with the dance now. That seems to have recorded in two parts!!!

Watching the Free Skate and out of the first two pairs, the Chinese pair looked good. They go together well. The Filipino pair not so much. That was messy

Just finished the Ice Dance which was more up to snuff. I’ll leave the men until tomorrow and probably watch the highlights on BBC2 for the women.
